THIN MAN GOES HOME finally drops to $11 for those interested

And while not quite what I'd consider a deal yet, the prices on EDGE OF DARKNESS, GOLD DIGGERS OF 1933, LAST OF SHEILA, IVANHOE, TALE OF TWO CITIES, NAKED SPUR, CAPTAIN OF THE CLOUDS, and THE THREE MUSKETEERS have all dropped a tiny bit in the $14-17 range. Here's hoping they drop another $3 in the coming weeks.

Full disclosure: I don't consider these deals at all. But they are all trending downward - currently all are $15.99 - which is very encouraging!

I have been wanting to check out The Thin Man movies for a bit. I assume that I can jump in with this one and not be lost?

It's the 5th film out of 6, so you'd be missing quite a lot of backstory, and other stuff. I'm sure you can still enjoy it, and wouldn't be lost, but I'd strongly recommend watching them all in production order.

This might be sacrilege around here, but I'd even suggest picking up the Silver Screen Icons DVD release, which includes the first 4 films, and is dirt cheap at $9.99

Thank you! My assumption was that it was kind of like the Hardy family series from this era, you could jump in whenever you wanted. I am going to grab the 4 film set as that is a great way to check my opinion on the series before opening #5 (in case I want to return it).
