TMNT 1-3 are gone from US iTunes and other retailers. At first I suspect it was Warner's distribution rights expiring but then the Fortune Star ones are also missing on iTunes UK and other regions. TMNT 2007 remains up, as it seems Warner was a more prominent co-producers on it vs the GH films with New Line only distributor. All the Paramount controlled listings for the movies and series remain up, so that means...

The copies of the trilogy that I bought with Microsoft Movies & TV are still in my account, but that's interesting that the films are getting delisted.

Likewise with my Fandango at Home and Apple TV.

I wonder if this means Arrow Video is going to release the trilogy on Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray. Arrow is one of the few companies that release its stuff in the US and the UK. Either that or Arrow worked with a US company to release them in their respective countries. Arrow has worked with Scream Factory and Synapse before so it wouldn't be that weird. I hope its Arrow is releasing them in both countries though as we know the releases will be a lot more through than if an American company does.

Arrow released desperado separately from the Mexico trilogy set, also gave hellraiser 1 on 4k a standalone once the limited edition of the box set sold out. So I'm hopeful it's a box set and a standalone for the first for those that don't want the sequels

TMNT '07 wouldn't fit with the Arrow label (unless they start doing animated titles, mainstream or otherwise). A title like that would fit better if Warner sublicensed it to Shout!.

So because of some arbitrary rule you have imposed on them, they aren't allowed to release it? Odd.
I'd rather everything come from the same label, even if TMNT is released as a standalone. It certainly deserves a better release than what is currently available.

I know the third is garbage to most, but I don't mind it, honestly I'd prefer a trilogy set, I hate to have things incomplete.

Also, I like the '07 movie, I'm not expecting a 4K of it, even if it'd be nice, but I'd like if it at least had a new AVC, well encoded release. Is there any of it in the world?

Kevin Eastman prefers it to the second if memory serves and so do I. It's fun.

We nearly did. Via Vision in Australia re-released it at the end of 2023 on Blu-ray. It opens with their logo and Lionsgate's but then goes straight to the disc exactly as it was originally. So the movie automatically plays and we have to go select HD audio...

I do believe TMNT '07 has a lot of local releases, some even recent, but I don't know which one is English friendly and has a decent AVC encode.

I hate it when people post unfounded rumours and just plain lies to get attention and likes.

BTW, I hear that Criterion's 4K release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III will include the full hardcore sex scene between April and Casey Jones. Spread the news!!

German BD from 2011. Has German location text (in one scene iirc), but doesn't have the enormous banding problems of the VC-1 Warner and AVC Nordic BDs. Don't know how the German 2023 BD is.

Nordic has higher bitrate and I don't know if I'd notice the banding, but, Nordic is probably more annoying to get.

Better to hunt down the German BD. The higher bitrate of the Nordic BD is meaningless with all the ugly banding and also ringing from lowpass filtering.

Would be hard to notice for my eyes, but I think I'd have a hard time trying to find the Nordic anyway.

Yeah, I think people are still jumping to conclusions about Arrow. Unless they worked some magic, I can’t see WB licensing these. Shout was trying to get them for like a decade and was always turned down. I’m not saying Arrow couldn’t have worked some magic here, but I have to imagine these are still profitable titles for WB (at least as a set).

The first one is definitely still popular. If WB already paid to remaster that one they stand to make more releasing it themselves. However, as I mentioned before they’ve been pretty slow getting to a lot of their big titles, so perhaps they did offload these just to focus on bigger stuff.

I am waiting to be amazed, but I don’t want to get my hopes up. Just knowing any interviews for a release have taken place is worth getting excited about, though.

The fact that it's getting new extras (a rarity for WB catalogue titles) is why people think it's being handled by a boutique label.

I’m excited for the first, I’ll take the second just for pure nostalgic value. The third movie with the Chuck E Cheese animatronic turtles Id just assume light the camera negative on fire.

I remember being floored by how terrible 3 was when it came. It just looked so cheap that I couldn't take it seriously. I mean, it's the sort of thing you usually might not notice as a 13 year old, but the whole thing felt direct to video.

Turtles 2 has its flaws, but is still entertaining. 3? Yuck
