I just got my Harmony One this weekend and it's amazing. However when my buddy came over last night and held it he noticed on the activities page where I created "watch a Blu-ray" it has a picture of a DVD. Even though it's very minor I think we should contact Logitech and see if we could get an update done. Does anyone know how I could contact them?

I'm all for that. Just tell me where to sign.

Default Question About Logitech Remotes

Does anyone know whether the logitech remotes can control the comcast motorola HD DVR and whether it can do the on demand button? I want to get one but I do not know whether it can control this device or function.

I obviously can't speak for every model of box out there, but when I had a Comcast Motorola HD DVR, my Harmony 550 was able to control every single function of it. No problems at all.

Just give us the exact model name. Does it look just like the one in my home theater pix? If so, yes, they control every function flawlessly.

Default One more time....

I've tried to post this 3 times and it never showed... The model I have is the Motorola HD DUal Tuner DVR DCH3416. It looks like the one in your picture. Is there a certain remote that I should get to control this?

I just got my new Harmony One today and it's awesome. A huge step up from my Harmony 550. I love the color screen. It's very easy to read, and moving my existing program into it was a snap. I only had to map out buttons for my Nyko blu-wave PS3 controller, but I had to do that with the 550 too. I guess that's just something everyone has to do with the Nyko, but it only took a couple of minutes and I'm up and running. I especially love the shape and I'm really glad I went with the One instead of the 880. Thanks to everyone who gave advice.

motorola DVR, *sigh* for the love of pete, how many times does this have to be said?

THE HARMONY CAN CONTROL ANY DEVICE THAT USES IR.

YES, EVEN THAT.

it can do series of commands with one button, it can do commands that require multiple button presses (think an audio receiver that requires a shift function) in one button, if the command isn't in the database all you need is the original remote.

it can do htpcs, lights, air conditioning, electronic projector screens, even the common, every day DVR or TV. there have to be 2343546234 threads about this on this and any number of other sites. come on people.

So, what you are saying is that I can only control things with IR? So, really only my plasma can be controlled? Because I heard that if I leave an image on it too long it can get IR on it.

I'm confused.

No, that is not what he is saying!! From your signature the only thing that cannot be controlled is your PS3 and that can be controlled if you purchase a blu-ray to IR converter or adapter. Your plasma, blu-ray player, and AVR are all IR controlled!!!

I wish I'd known that with the PS3. I could have just left an image on it until it got IR. Joking.

Guys I need your thoughts. Is the Harmony 1100 really worth the upgrade from the Harmony One? I won't be using the RF at all (for now), and I know somebody that's hooking me up, so it's only going to cost slightly more than my One, which I'll just return to Best Buy.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give that a shot.

Any Harmony should control it flawlessly as they are designed with DVRs in mind.

CALM DOWN. Leave it to the adults to explain please. HE WASN'T ASKING IF IT DOES OR DOESN'T CONTROL IT; HE WAS ASKING IF IT INCORPORATED ALL THE BUTTONS. I had a similar question before I got my first one and I seem to remember you jumping on me then. Just stay out of this thread, seriously. We're here to help people, not treat them like idiots or children.

I have a supervisor that acts just like you, but about everything. Makes for a great work day, let me tell you.

Got my Harmony One yesterday!

Haven't had much time to play with it, but overall the look and feel is way better than the 880. Even the LCD screen is more clear and the backlighting is exponentially better.
