*applause*

Star Trek was infinitely better in every single way...and that's coming from someone who had less than no interest in the franchise before this movie.

Thumbs up

I saw it and I loved it too. Not better than 1 and 2 but it was a good film.

The first HOUR was amazing and really showed promise. The last hour is what I didn't enjoy as much.

My biggest complaint was I had no feeling that the machines were any threat.

I think it will make a great blu-ray and I will buy it for sure. The theater I saw it in didn't have the sound up enough because there was no LFE that I noticed at all.

My highlight was the opening scene in the HELI... McG really showed me in that scene that he understands how an action movie could be shot. It was a brilliant scene.

Sorry to hear that. My theater beat the living hell out of my chest.

And yes, that Helicopter scene was shot in a genius way....the upside-down switcheroo was very clever and effective....great idea and implementation.

I will go so far as to say the McG nailed it all. Critics saying the "look" is wrong have got rocks in their heads. The "look" was very Cameronesque. It paid homage in all the right places and all the right ways without being cheesey. The VFX were top notch and the cinematography was fabulous...not good...not great....fabulous. Bales acting was weak? GIMMIE a break. He's not playing Patrick Bateman here. Hes playing a weary, beatdown, tired, angry, frustrated soldier. He's cold and distant as a soldier would be.

I could go on and on.

Was it perfect? No. Has any Terminator movie been perfect? Nope. This one came way closer to being perfect than the others.

McG really captured the dread of the post apocolyptic future perfectly. In the Human spirit and in the wasteland that Earth became. Ugly, dark, devastated, dirty, scary, shortages of food and fuel, landscapes both natural and urban were laid to waste.

I'll stop.

Go see it.

Oh...I forgot to comment on the audio. Best I've heard in a movie...EVER.

NOT because it was loud. The mix was utterly devastating. Many NEW and ORIGINAL sounds. YEP...they created NEW sounds. Oh...and if you like guns a parade of the best was on display in all their sonic glory. Mini-gun fans will wet their pants.

Some critics say "Too much action, not enough dialog"

PFFFFFFFT...

It's F'ing WAR man. WAR is chaos. It's hell on earth against a RELENTLESS enemy that never needs to sleep or eat. They never need to regroup or strategize...they-just-keep-coming-no-matter-what.

How do you write that OUT of the movie? YOU DONT!!!

GO SEE IT.

Default I'm on a roll...

Critics saying no humanity ion this film. Idiots.

Humanity is a powefull core of this movie. Its constantly on display, in many ways, subtle and not subtle, throughout the entire movie.

If anything at all, its what this movie thrives on.....its MAIN THEME for jeepers sake. Its in you face at all times.

Conners radios speeches were heartfelt.
Radio listeners were swayed and moved to epic results
Blairs acknowledgement of Marcus' humanity
Conners willingness to "trust" Marcus
Conners refusal to sacrifice the innocent for the greater good
People sharing food......
Conner is not perfect
Conner feels lost and unsure
EDIT: Conners pleas to his radio audience..."whatever you do, stay alive". In context during the movie, it was poignant.

The list of demonstrations of the Human spirit, the human stuggle, human nature, is endless

Critics are idiots

GO SEE IT

Meh....Hollywood

THIS is what T3 was supposed to be.

Remember the begining of T2 when you see the future and the battle and how it was just so OMG scary, dark, hopeless and cold? T4 is that world for the whole movie....the future is here and it is a struggle to survive....night and day....everywhere you go there is something after you....and you do not have the means to destroy it....you dont know where or if help exists....its hell....and in addition to being hell, there are machines in hell that are trying to kill you. You cant wound them....shoot off their arms...doesnt matter....shoot off their legs....doesnt matter.

I'm gunna say it. McG + action genre =

I am stealing you sig......

If we stay the course we are dead! WE ARE ALL DEAD!!

This is the theme of the movie and why it NEEDED to be so relentless. You cant afford to be complacent. Bales screaming of that line is what the movie is. You cant NOT be a soldier 24 hours a day.

I'm not bashing this movie just because it's got "Terminator" in the name and was a letdown compared to the other Terminator movies...I'm bashing it because this was just a really bad movie in general.

You can throw it in the same pile of crap as those Charlie's Angel's movies McG directed too.
