John Adams

Film: 4.5/5
-incredible series, with great casting, great screenplay and great directing.
-this is the 4th time I've seen it since purchase and I've seen a different show each time. A true "rewatchable" that is a great $$ investment.

PQ: 3.5/5

AQ: 4.5/5

Right on! It probably would be more invigorating in real life.

I know I wouldn't be able to cut it. For those who can, I can't help but to respect and appreciate them.

A real atom?!

Even if it isn't, it still sounds cool.

Damage.

Stone Cold Steve Austin. Good DTV movie, would probably rate it about 6.5/10. Steve Austin is onto a winner doing DTV. Jean Claude, Segal, Lundgren... they all make shit loads doing DTV because their fan base is still big. Steve Austin has a great 'bad ass' presence on screen, but also knows how to bring some sympathy to his characters, with small, smirks, and depressing looks.

Unthinkable.

I don't really have anything bad to say about this. It was very well done. 10/10. It did remind me of watching 24 a bit, being that it was so damn frustrating to support the character of Sam L Jackson. The other characters were so annoying, i mean
[Show spoiler]10 million people are about to die, but no, don't hurt the guy while trying to find out where the bombs are.
.

Alice in Wonderland.

3/10. Did anyone else think the CGI in this film was really bad? Nothing looked realistic enough. When the Mad Hatter picked up the small alice, his fingers did not even look like he was holding her, the CGI Alice moved to much while being held. Bad CGI makes a bad movie. Sorry Burton, you droped the ball on this one.

I can't wait to see it. I plan on getting this, Rome, and Battlestar Gallactica before the end of the year.

Rented "The Bicycle Thieves," having heard of it all over the place on this site.

It's a simple story with a strong presentation and interesting themes, easily comparable to other classics like "The Grapes of Wrath." Acting and cinematography are superb; it is a quality film. But as it went on, I started to see the faults and follies of the main character; he was so focused and narrow-visioned that he failed repeatedly to see the most important things in his life, much less the futility of his pursuit or his own moral degredation. And yet, the film had established itself so well and followed the man so intimately that I couldn't help but to feel for him (and ultimately appreciate all that I have myself).

If only he learned to let go...

4.5/5 (entertainment: 4/5, story: 4.5/5, film: 4.5/5, i/e: 4/5)

Now, I hate this movie quite a bit, and I would give it the same 3/10 rating. But the CGI is suppost to be cartoony, it's a kids film, a boring bland one at that. But it's very looney tunes in it's visuals. And bad CGI doesn't always make for a bad movie, many, cheap, cult classics with a tiny budget have terrible CGI.

Robin Hood(2010)- Theater

Film: 4.5/5

This was a beautifully done film. First off, Ridley Scott did a great job directing this. The cinematography was really good. Russell Crowe & Cate Blanchett both did a great job performing in this, as usual. The writing was done really well also. I wanted more story behind some things but that did not affect my liking of the film. I gave this a 4.5 because I believe the film needed a little more in the writing aspect and I, for some reason, will always compare these style of movies to Braveheart. Nothing so far has taken that spot, so I give this a 4.5/5.

I loved this and if and when they do make a 2nd I will most def see it. As long as the cast and Ridley sign on again.

I'm just reading off wikipedia, it says "Moving from a view which encompasses an atom, the views will expand in scale, until a sand painting is shown."

I watched an Australian short film entitled I Love Sarah Jane.

It follows 13 year old Jimbo (Brad Ashby) in a post zombie apocalypse world, where the only thing on his mind is seventeen year old Sarah Jane (Mia Wasikowska). On his way to her house he meets, what I assume to be, an acquaintance. He looks to be around the same age as Sarah Jane, and he controls a group of young kids. In Sarah's back yard is a zombie tied to a pole. Throughout the short film we see a group of two young kids and the leader. Jimbo makes attempts to talk to Sarah, but he is thwarted by many interruptions. It's not until the end of the short that he finally gets to have a conversation with her. Out side, the violence towards the zombie escalates, and Sarah and Jimbo go outside to see the torture the boys had been performing on the zombie.

The last few minutes are vital to Sarah's character, and the prior conversation. I liked it, and I give it an 8/10.

Here is the link to the short film.
