Friday 13th films are mostly boring.

Here's an unpopular opinion. Friday the 13th is one of the worst ones.

You're missing out on some really fun sequels though. Hellraiser 2, Exorcist 3, Psycho 2, 3 and 4, Friday the 13th part 2, 4, 5, 6, an even Jason X for pure schlock. All worth watching IMO.

Psycho 2 and Exorcist 3 really are not generic sequels at all.

halloween 2 is the only decent film of the whole series IMO

but yes, the whole idea of this thread that so many people fail to grasp is that these are unpopular opinions

on that front: I don't get why jenna ortega, adam driver and aubrey plaza are so famous. complete voids of charisma, mediocre actors, nothing interesting about them.

this is not a new phenomenon, I've read about many mediocre actors and actresses in classic Hollywood that were very famous at the time and that with enough perspective people now consider in their just measure, and more often than not, are forgotten. Theres always a product of the zeitgeist, an in-thing, a temporal fad that carries these people to stardom without them having any real talent to back it up. Now with social media this is even worst than it ever was.

Adam driver to me is the most puzzling of the three, because he's actually working in plenty of interesting projects with some excellent directors, but Ive never found him remotely good or interesting. I find incredible that people go to see a movie because adam driver or jenna ortega star in it. absolutely crazy.

now, these are unpopular opinions, hear people screaming.

On my twitter page the last few days have been a bunch of articles about Tarantino retiring from making films. Where do I send flowers and a card? I have never seen a more blatant attempt at getting attention in my life.

Rocky II, while not the worst sequel, is the most boring in the series. Up until he starts getting trained, the movie just meanders along in the most uneventful way and without much narrative drive. Just watching Rocky fumbling through life aimlessly. I've seen that already in the first one, except that film had a point. RII is just too rehashy and the only real value you get out of it is indeed the big fight at the end. Unlike the other Rockys, I grew impatient when watching this one. If ever a Rocky movie needed to be 90 minutes, it'd be this one.

He's not doing anything for attention. It's all the media. Years ago Tarantino said he'd only make 10 films.

-Reservoir Dogs
-Pulp Fiction
-Jackie Brown
-Kill Bill
-Death Proof
-Inglourious Basterds
-Django Unchained
-The Hateful Eight
-Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

You are pretty much missing NOTHING!

Most of the sequels were either terrible or just barely OK.

Tarantino isn't going anywhere. He has plenty of projects in the works.

Actually, Halloween 3, or shall we refer to it as that one that doesnt belong with the others was solid. I own it on disc. But, thats it. The rest of the Halloween sequels suck ass.

Exorcist 3? See my reply to another guy where we both agree that the film is over rated & rather dull. Sorry, cant do it. Its not an exorcist movie, IMO.

Hey, unpopular, right?

The first two Psycho sequels were surprisingly good.

Halloween III was one of the worst movies ever made.

I’m unable to get into Everything Everywhere All At Once. Tried watching it twice now, and I just don’t find myself interested.
