*This song was played a lot on the radio at my previous job. I liked this song so much that I called the radio station to ask who the band was and the name of the song. Afterwards, I went out and bought the album.

*based on a true story.

I'm not a big donut guy but the times I've gone into Dunkin Donuts and ordered one to go along with my breakfast, I've suffered sticker shock. Why are they charging close to two bucks for one donut? Each donut should be fifty cents tops. Who cares if they're decorated. Lol.

Dunkin’ Donut's doughnuts are prefabricated doughnuts like Pizza Hut is prefabricated pizza. Like their pizzeria quality pizza, Uncle Giuseppe’s doughnuts are the real deal.

And sf, you said UG is a restaurant/deli whatever and also a store? Or a store with a deli? One of the two I think...

Uncle G’s is a supermarket on steroids with a massive deli and bakery focused on Italian offerings & dishes. We have Wegmans on the East Coast and it’s basically a smaller version of that but with the Italian theme.

They have a lot of freshly prepared grab & go items (also sushi) which is why they have a large area for eating. I really enjoyed their meatball parm hoagie. I’ll put up a video if I find a decent walk through.

Krispy Kreme > Dunkin’

The ones from Dunkin’ come to the stores frozen.

Some def are but you get to see them being made at the place near me. They have a red light outside letting you know when a hot batch just came out.

I never cared for donuts, but about ten years ago a place opened nearby that made fresh donuts every morning and damn they are good. However, I gave up sugar a few years back and try not to eat much bread, too, so I've not had one since.

Road House is a possibility (trouble is, whenever I see that film title I keep thinking of the Family Guy gag ).
While I already own the Kino release, I’ll have to resist the urge to double dip on Taking of Pelham One Two Three but I do like the new artwork. Will wait to read the reviews.

That was some sad news reading last weekend about actors Richard Chamberlain and Bruce Glover passing away. I watched in tribute to the former last night, the first episode of Dr. Kildare (from the Warner Archive's DVD release of Season 1 (it's a standard definition master, but I could tell some restoration work had been done (the odd white speckle but I was impressed by it) and the end credits ended with (I assume) the original closing MGM Televison logo).

May watch again this week Diamonds Are Forever in tribute to Bruce Glover (who played one half of the memorable Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd).

On a separate note, belated birthday greetings to Christopher Walken and Herb Alpert for yesterday (the latter turned ninety). With Herb Alpert, I think of the Tijuana Brass, Casino Royale (the sixties film), the music single Rise (one of my favourite seventies songs) and the trumpet solo during Never Say Never Again's end credits.
I have not seen The Stepfather in many years. I think I caught it on HBO back in the day. It will be fun to revisit and see Mr. O'Quinn in a completely different role than what I’m used to.

Not sure if you can stream Lost in the UK. Perhaps Tubi. I always tell people (going in blind) to just start with the pilot and see if it interests you ‘cause if the pilot doesn’t leave you wanting to watch more, then it’s probably not worth continuing. It sucked me in and it was awesome to watch it week-to-week and discuss fan theories with people.

They can try but there will never be a show like it again.

Nah. That was said about The X-Files. And they still are the reigning champs. Other shows (lost included) got nothing on spooky Mulder.
