I have seen rain down on me a lot in the crucible. So I have a lot of experience.
Agree, picking up heavy ammo is a good thing. I prefer machine guns, but they are quick kills. Shotguns work well, too, if you stick to closed spaces. The maps out in the open are awful. If you are playing Clash, stick with others, and you can find partial healths you can kill easily. I prefer playing Rumble and just taking my time, sticking to confined areas with the shotgun. Fusion rifles are one-hits, but the charge time too slow. If someone is coming, toss a grenade ahead and find them around the corner softened up for a melee kill. I've played quite a bit of crucible, too. With lots of practice, I'm up to about a 0.5 k/d fairly regularly. I'm awesome.

Hmm, that could explain it. I guess I assumed that my damage against players would be roughly equal to damage to an even level enemy.

I'm pretty much just as successful with my assault rifle as I am with my shotgun in PVP. So I'm not sure if impact is the difference maker. While PVP is supposed to be evenly matched, with "leveling disabled", the main advantage are the abilities. If I can reload my gun faster than my opponent, that's a big difference. Also cool down times are important as well.

Go to Venus, the endless steps area, look up, I counter 10-11 in the sky at night, none during the day. There are either 2 different kinds, or the young don't have the protruding claws, longer neck and are a light brown not black.

Also, after ranking up Pocket Infinity to full auto and larger clip, CQC it will clear rooms. The full auto is once you charge it up, it will empty the clip without recharging. So expect to run out of ammo real quick and it's quite a hand full.

I don't know about this game. I've watched some YouTube game play and live streams. And so far I'm not seeing anything that makes me want to rush out and buy it. To be honest, it doesn't even look very exciting. Battlefield 4 seems a lot more fun to me. But of course watching a video and playing is a whole different thing. Maybe there is something I'm missing...

Got my first Legendary piece of armor that came from a Blue. Of course it ended up being for a different class.

Its one thing looking at videos and being involved with a leveling community. This game is more fun playing with friends.

I'm sure it is. I can understand that. I played Phantasy Star Online for a while back in the day, which was a pretty stupid game really. But it was a lot of fun because of the people you played with.

I keep seeing the word farming used in reference to Destiny. What the hell is that? To me this farming looks like someone standing there boringly shooting at a hole in the ground...

That's pretty much it.

They kill the enimies in there to get loot drops faster. Boring it is.

Lol. I don't think I'm missing much on this game as I wait for Assassins Creed Unity and Dying Light. If I want to play a fun shooter I'll just put in BF4, love that game.

One of the most lackluster stories and repetitive games I've ever played. Hopefully I can sell on craiglist for 40 bucks.

I've said all along the PvP is some of the most mismatched gaming in recent memory. Just awful.

Not just friends. Anyone decent to play with. It'ss designed well enough to play pickup games with people who are similarly interested. You encounter guys playing solo who are obviously doing the same thing you are, and it's easy to invite them to join your fireteam. Sometimes they do, sometimes not. I got tagged to join a team somewhere in the middle of the Raid today, just by virtue of hanging around the tower, being level 26 and having a mic. And now I have a new contact. Jumped in to help beat the boss in the level 28 strike because of a similar contact. This game is a blast, and I'm not close to getting bored with it. The wife had to make me quit for dinner tonight.

I want to make everyone aware I won two Rumble matches in a row tonight. I am in awe of myself. There must be some bad players on Sunday nights.

I missed the Xur merchant, and never bought anything exotic. I thought he would be there all weekend. I also have yet to get the whole concept. I've been trying to accumulate Vanguard reputation, but never realized you need to equip something for a faction. I've been accumulating New Monarchy points. That merchant takes Crucible marks, not Vanguard marks, which I have plenty of to spend.

So bungie makes the most interesting part of the game inaccessable to 90% of players? Neat.

It's cool that that mission is so varied, while the rest of the game is the same damn thing on every mission and strike.

I like playing, Destiny, don't get me wrong. But this game has some serious problems. Bungie is too high on its own name to put together a coherent game.

I can honestly say that if ypu're wanting to beat the VoG in under 2 hpurs, you should have everybody watch that YouTube vid beforehand. We tried last night and got to the boss but we ran into issues and had some members not co-ordinating properly.

We're on the first boss though and should be done with him today and on the way to the final boss soon enough. Just hope people are on their A game. I can't say myself that taking minute breaks at a time and getting waylaid by family helped

I just want to beat it before it resets and I don't get the reward for thos week. Similarly, you should all attempt to beat the weekly nightfall as early in week as it gives you 20% boost to experience, faction rep and glimmer. Plus a nice reward of either an exotic, legendary or maybe a ton of strange coins, ascendant energy and shards to help upgrade stuff.

God, I don't know how to do that one. I'm only level 24 right now, but paired up with another 24, and a 22 yesterday to do the lvl 22 weekly strike and while we got to the boss, we absolutely got raped like 4 times before putting a good effort up on the 5th, which inevitably failed as well.

I guess I need to level up more.

Something that occurred to me while playing last night, this game has no dual weapon wielding. That is something that Bungie has put in their games since I can remember. I wonder why it's not implemented in Destiny. Has Bungie ever addressed this? I'm sure it has to do with balancing but still, can't believe it's not in there.
