ADR back then was never great to begin with

A certain amount of cheese is fine, but if a movie wants to be a more serious, realistic Bond, it really can't have Bond and the girl sledding across the border in a cello case

Richard's is just one of the major problems that movie has though. The other is it being predictable and boring. I think DAD is better than TWINE. However, TWINE has one of the best Bond songs ever and the first 40 minutes or so is quite enjoyable.

Denise Richards is one of the best parts of TWINE. At least she's something to look at.

Which begs a larger question, why is it that there seems to be an inverse relationship between the hotness of Bond girls and how useful they are as characters? I'm not saying it's unilateral, but when you think of Honey Ryder, Mary Goodnight, Stacy Sutton, and such, and the do jack sh!t throughout their respective films besides be really hot, but then the more competent/"well rounded female character" girls tend to be less scorching?

Kevin Holly, who's that beauty in your avatar?

Regarding the discussion about Pierce Brosnan, his casting is what I like best in his Bond films. I think he got stuck with poor writing and the wrong approach by the producers, but he himself took Bond seriously and did the best he could. I wish he'd been allowed to do his version of Casino Royale.

DAD is enjoyable in a "so bad it's entertaining" kinda way, but I will say that until Bond gets re-recruited by M in the Underground, it's a solid Bond flick (once the virtual reality glasses come in it's all downhill...). I'll never understand why TWINE gets so much "meh"; not saying it's the best Bond ever but almost everything about it is solid. Story is relatively grounded, the villain(s) are quite good, it has some killer action sequences, and (like you said) a good song and even better score.

I love the beginning of DAD, especially when Bond is being tortured in the opening song. Like I said, my biggest issues with World stem from Denise Richards and the movie is just boring. It's only one space station away from being as bad as Moonraker.

You like women who look like they have plastic injected into their lips and were hit in the face with a dump truck? Sorry, but when I think of Denise Richards, I do not think of attractive. If it came down to the two of us being the last humans on Earth, I would rather let the human race die than reproduce with her. She is almost as ugly as Megan Fox and Kristen Stewart. Not to mention she can't act for ****.

So hideous that the human race might as well not continue to exist.
