The deal is over with now, but I got it for $119.49 from the Cineplex store. Last month they had a deal that if you spend $19.99 or more you get a code to get an item for 50% off on your next purchase. Of course you could chain the codes together so quite a few of us got a bunch of blu-rays at half-off including this set.

Really looking forward to seeing these again, its been years since I have seen it but I rember racing home after school to not miss it as they used to run reruns of it that started about 15 minutes after I got out of grade school.

Ended up having to cancel my preorder (due to some other expences) so hoping to pick up a good deal on th Digital HD code. So i can introduce my wife to the show, should be good times.

I really want to see what the BatmanonDVD Blu-Ray set looks like.
I've heard what it potentially looks like, but I need to see some hard evidence.

Best Buy

Best Buy is selling the set for $175. It'll be $5 cheaper than Amazon so I'm pretty sure Amazon will match it. That will bring my price down to $105 after my Bing rewards and $60 Amazon CC deal (plus 3% back about $4 or so). Not bad. Of course in another year, they'll probably have a set without all the crap for $89 or so, lol.

I'm banking on it, and it would seem silly not to, anyway!

While this is most likely true, I am taking no chances. That's why mine was bought at Amazon and paid off using gift cards.

I don't see WB doing a slimmed down re-release so soon. They rarely do this with sets like this. Do they do movie re-packages? ALL the time. But this isn't the norm for them when it comes to bigger sets. I'd expect the US options out now to be the main options that exist going forward.

I love how people think they are such experts about releases when they come out and how a studio will choose to market them and it there will be repackages in the future.

Are there many situations like this though? Like a big set that comes with collectibles, and there isn't any other smaller option available already? I think all of the UCE's they release are typically released alongside standard packaged versions. Additionally, the licensing and costs for remastering all of this was likely very high, so I can definitely see them coming out with a few different configurations to target as many consumers as possible. I think that's why we already see one catered to the "As Seen on TV" crowd. It is possible that they'll wait till the first edition sells out before introducing another, similar to how they went from the Harry Potter Wizards Collection to the slimmed down Hogwarts collection after inventory for the former dried up.

I rented Godzilla (2014) yesterday and there was a mouth-watering promo for this.

I'm not in a huge hurry and will likely do some serious price-watching before making a purchase but my interest level spiked quite a bit after seeing just a few short clips last night.

That's the neat thing about this forum...

Since July, many users here have provided detailed reviews of the audio video quality of this set. Of course, none of them have seen it but they seem to speak with great authority.

So it's only natural that there would be marketing experts here as well .

Honestly, I do think there likely will be a stripped down cheaper version in the future. But I love this show and, at this point in my life, I'm not inclined to wait so I splurged on a pre-order.

It's WB. It doesn't take an expert to predict what they're going to do. They have a long track record of re-releasing titles over and over again.

Does Germany use the same region A code that USA Blu-rays do? (Does WB even use region codes, or are they typically region free?)

Does Germany use ugly rating symbols all over the place like UK does? Or are they more subtle about it like USA?

I don't get it; people are just speculating and discussing the issue based on what they think is most likely to happen (which doesn't always happen, granted). Not sure why you're having a dig and painting them as self-proclaimed experts, to be honest, even in a cheeky way.

Apparently a lot, A LOT, of people pre-ordered this. I called WB today to ask about my order, since the website was down this morning and I couldn't check there. When I asked why they can't ship sooner and are waiting until the release date to ship, the woman on the phone told me they need every single day they have left to get orders ready for shipping and that the number they have to ship out on the 11th is "massive do to all the pre-orders" — and that's just orders from wbshop.com, it doesn't include all the pre-orders from other websites. She said they will be quite busy that day, getting them all shipped.

She also told me that an estimated delivery would be 5 days, from Mass. to New York. If you live farther away, it will probably longer. People that live in the state will probably get it on release date, lucky jerks
