I dont think so but a handful of their titles are pretty cheap at Deep Discount and other online retailers.

Kino Lorber’s larger sales have historically provided ample time to explore and make decisions. Aside from slipcovers, those sales are anti-FOMO overall. This countdown-ticking, lootbox-esque, feeding frenzy approach is the opposite of that.

I hope it does well for them and bolsters their business. I just also hope that it doesn’t interfere with their quarterly sales.

Any opportunity for a sale is a good thing. There's no requirement to participate, so I don't see the issue.

I'll be curious like everyone else what this means not only for this specific new promotion but their larger sales throughout the year as well. Hoping it's a bit like the days of RightStuf Anime that would have Weekly Specials that really were amazing deals (Crunchyroll sure ruined that).

Not a chance. They're not going to weekly undercut their 4 big sales a year. They already go as low as 8-11 on blus that have been out just a few weeks for the big sales. Historically NONE of their promotions outside their 4 big sales offer equal discounts to those sales, so these weekend deals certainly won't be better. Maybe 30-40% to tempt the impatient or ignorant from holding out till their March/June/Oct/Dec sales.
