Had a super good week at work. Almost glad I didn't get the other job I applied for. On to the next.

Thinking about yesterday:

Yesterday (4/4) Work Baseball Trip

Left meet-up post at 8:30AM (1 hour, 10 minutes from Pittsburgh)
Arrived shortly before 10AM
Learned parking lot did not open until closer to 12pm
Killed some time at nearby Rivers Casino. I personally doubled my money from $80 to $160.
Tailgated the next several hours - drinking too much, ate good food - hung out and laughed
Baseball game started at 4:12pm. Pirates sucked, Yanks won 9-4. Saw a Judge homer.
Fans often chanting "SELL THE TEAM!" along with an airplane flying over sharing that same message made my day.

As for today, I was hoping to have gotten my Menards rebate check by now so I can turn around and use it on lumber I need to build a deck. But it didn't come so now that wait is going to be a little longer. Would have been a good day to get the Uhaul.

I just heard this song that I don't know the name of. I can't tell exactly where it's coming from. It could be from a neighbor or even outside the apartment. It sounds like a 70s R&B song. Unfortunately, it's not loud enough to be able to Shazam. I have heard the song but obviously I don't really know the lyrics lol

Resident Evil 3-6 are unwatchable.. just tried to go through the 4K set for the first time in earnest beyond 1 and 2, and for the first time not in 3D(which they really needed the gimmick). The acting reminds me of the woodeness of SW 1-3, only those movies had mostly good actors at least. Whole cast has a ‘have we been paid yet?’ vibe.The entire story is just why, still no one with psychic powers in any RE game. The daytime soap guy playing Wesker is beyond awful. The storylines make Fast n Furious movies seem well thought out.

Welcome to Raccoon City is way better than any of the Jovavitch movies. Random venting, I’m happy for you if you still enjoy em.

Hoping the local cinema shows the original Dirty Harry this spring (had read recently on Park Circus' website that it's being shown in UK cinemas sometime between April and June). Been quite some time since I last saw the film at the cinema (a one-off screening).

Ha, I have thought about starting my own MC. Some clubs recruit from the prisons and local jails but I'll be recruiting down at the local library
Speaking of SoA, I would like to get the complete series even though I've never seen a single episode. I believe the two or three collections that they had are all OOP.

As for the bike, it's a 2025 Suzuki DR650S which has a MSRP of $7,199. It's a dual sport meaning that it's a street legal dirt bike. If I wanted to go ride at a local motorcycle park or some backroads, I don't need a truck and trailer. I can legally ride on the public roads to get there
I found one at a dealer in Modesto that had one for $700 off MSRP. I called them to find out the reason for the lower price. They had at least two other DRs for the regular $7,199. I was wondering if there was something wrong with it. It turns out that it was just the one that had already been set up and that they had had the longest.

So the total price they offered OTD was $8,050. I also saved $250 for the military discount so the MSRP would have dropped to $6,249. Besides the usual tax, licensing and registration, you will often pay for freight and setup. I guess most bikes arrive in crates and they aren't fully set up yet so they charge a fee for that.

Anyway, there are some expensive bikes out there that cost as much as cars but there are also some new ones that you can find even cheaper than my bike. Obviously you have a family to support where I only have myself, but you could definitely get yourself a bike...with the boss' approval

I thought it was the weakest (poor writing) of the 3 seasons but still enjoyed it. Solid cast as well.
