Dude im kinda scared LOL I dont know if im in over my head
As of right now Im only doing the top piece to see how it will look. I removed the LCD from the mount and put the stand/feet back on. Im still using the bottom piece of the entertainment center to hold all my gear and tv. It will look a bit darker, Kinda like a black-cherry look.

Keep it up, Mike. CrazyBlue might show up with some veneer.

Least you'd be in good hands!

Mike ~ If you have A piece of plywood that is close to the shade of the project , Then stain that to see what it will look like . Weather you like it or not it will beat doing something twice or have it turn out & you are not happy with it .
You can also take that piece & put it around the entertainment center to see if it is what you want !!

Thanks, I think Im more scared that I will not finish. My wife says that I always start projects and that I never finish them. She keeps bringin up the ''new'' doors that I haven't finished painting, I had installed those doors about two years ago
I might have a half and half color entertainment center But I should be good since this has to do with HT

UNfortunately, I'm the same way sometimes. I have replaced 4 replacement windows in the last couple years and the one-piece are tacked in place with roofing nails. At least everything has been painted and the bugs stay out.

You need to realize that speakers only draw the power they need. Most of the time you really dont use that much power, but for those dynamic portions of music and movies you will see peaks in current draw which can actually be higher than the rating on those speakers and that is perfectly fine because the speakers can handle it. But for example if an amp was continuously putting out peak power then you will be clipping the amp and overdriving the speakers thereby melting the voice coils or stiffening up the cones in the woofers (which is what people refer to as blowing a speaker). The only reason for this to happen is if you have VERY demanding speakers in a very very large room that you are trying to get crazy db's out of. You will know when you are asking more than your speakers can handle...they will distort and sound like crap lol.
Awesome, thanks for the info.

Here's one of the first member reviews to pop-up on the Emo lounge. Not a complete review yet, but it's a good start.

And here's some additional information posted by big Dan himself:
