Hey, my iTunes card from Staples is set to arrive Monday. I would like to buy Entourage, but would like to wait to save $2 when my card arrives. Do you think it will still be on sale come Monday?

Mean Girls is on sale for $7.99 but late last night it was $4.99 somehow. The promo tab on the iTunes Store main page said 7.99 but but buy button said 4.99.

Mean Girls just dropped back to $4.99 in the US store. Not sure if it is supposed to stay that low or not.

I hope you got in on this deal before the price goes up. It's still $9.99 at 12:50 AM CST on Tuesday, 10/6...it will probably go back to $19.99 within the next few hours.

[Show spoiler]Just a word of warning to be careful with deals like these. Advertised sales usually run from late Monday/early Tuesday of one week until late Monday/early Tuesday of the following week. Sometimes it takes until 9 AM or so on Tuesday morning for the price to increase.

On late Monday, 9/21 - early Tuesday, 9/22..Love & Mercy went on sale for $9.99. I think a couple of others did too. I know I'll See You In My Dreams did, for one. Anyway, I often wait until later in the week to buy an on-sale movie. Advertised sales almost always last the entire week. Every once and a while the price goes back up before the next week's sale begins. Love & Mercy was still advertised on their home page for $9.99 on Sunday night, 9/27. I clicked through and purchased it. Right away I noticed I was charged $19.99. I took a screenshot showing sale price/time/date right away, and continued to take them periodically for the next 24 hours. I also shot iTunes customer support an e-mail about the price discrepancy (the front page showed the $9.99 price, the movie's page showed the $19.99 price).

A customer service gal wrote me back and said she was having her advanced team look into it. She wrote me again 2 or 3 times throughout the week, saying they were still looking into it. I finally heard back today (over 1 week after originally writing them) when she wrote that, after checking, it was confirmed that I was charged the correct price at the time ($19.99). I replied with screenshots showing the $9.99 sale price/time/date. I asked her to please remove the movie from my account and refund the $19.99. I still haven't heard back.

I have to say that I've been extremely disappointed with Apple's/iTunes' customer service the handful of times I've contacted them. Other people report getting $$ refunds and/or free rentals. I'm always very cordial, and I'm always disappointed with the resolution. I'd rather buy movies on iTunes than on Amazon. But I have to say that Amazon's customer service is light years better than that of Apple/iTunes.

If Amazon charged you more than the price for which something was advertised, they'd refund the difference in a second. It'd be effortless. They'll also sometimes throw in a free gift card or something for your troubles. Or if the price goes down within 7 days of buying something, they'll refund you the difference if you contact them about it. Apple/iTunes acts like the mafia (you'll get nothing and like it!). The only time I've had any success with their customer service is by claiming it was an accidental purchase, which is lying.

tl:dr - Be careful when you buy on-sale titles. Make sure the final purchase page lists the correct price, and make sure you're not overcharged. If something gets messed up, good luck dealing with them.

Season 4 was $24.99 last night, but $31.99 this morning. Keep an eye on that...maybe it's a situation similar to Mean Girls.

It had been $24.99 for a week or two, even had its own 'tile' on the TV main page (though not sure it made the rotating carousel at the top. I'd imagine that it will be at least Christmas before it drops in price again.

Thank you! Just got home. The house is ok, just had a little bit of water get into the garage. Luckily, most of the flooded areas in my neighborhood receded. So a lot of neighbors are out helping each other clean up the damage. I'm going and try to see if I can lend a helping hand myself.

It's nice to see Touchstone movies being offered on sale, since they never seemed to go on sale before. This week it's The Proposal and Sweet Home Alabama. Last week's were Con Air and Gone in 60 Seconds. The week before had Step Up and Armageddon.

Also, the documentary Dinosaur 13 is $4.99.
