vote 1.

not remotely on level of original predator movies. this make avp movies and predators look amazing hard to do but this movie nail it right in coffin.

Yeah I know this would be bizarre but anything would have been better than Black's Iron Man Predator suit which looked like a cheap 90's toy ripe for mass production.

I watched about 40 minutes of this on HBO the other night and turned it off, I was so disgusted.

The comedy relief was so ridiculously overdone and cliched that I almost puked.

Nothing about it looked, felt or even vaguely resembled a Predator movie.

...what a godawful cinematic bowel movement.

I had such high hopes for this when Shane Black was announced as being involved. I thought if anyone could give us a good Predator movie itd be him. I was wrong.

I did rewatch this again. Maybe I'm not a Predator fan, but the humour in this movie is the highlight for me. Predator stuff was a complete bore. I'd still watch Shane Black movies. But Predator needs to be retired.

I didn't mind this one actually. Thought it was much better than PREDATORS.

This one went down better the second time. Still not a good movie, but a disposable guilty pleasure if you're in the mood for some dumb fun.

Compared to the new movie predators is a masterpiece I enjoyed predators way more. Also are you all surprised that the iron man 3 director threw in a predator buster armor in this movie seriously wtf was expecting something a lot cooler and why the eff wasn't Olivia Munns character not at the end of the movie what was the point of her being there the whole movie if she wasn't gonna help at the end to study and help take down any future predator attacks

Did they just copy originals score? Sounded like that, plus nothing fitted in any scenes... Also the end spaceship scene had music that sounded like from back to the future 0 tension.

Finally saw this on HBOMAX, and I have to say that this movie is not THAT bad. I don't get the hate. I don't know if people were expecting a proper reboot or what, but Shane Black clearly said that all of the other films are still canon. So this is more of a continuation or a "cinematic universe", if anything. Is the movie great? Not really. But you can say the same about all the Predator films. Even the original got negative reviews at that time.

Whether you disagree with me or not, I think we can all agree that The Predator is better than Alien: Covenant.

Agreed, as a big fan of both series but someone who didn't like either movie.

Predator was one of the worst movies in both series, while Covenant was just really bad

Covenant is so much better than this. This is like a parody of the Predator franchise

Alien Covenant gets the job done despite feeling like a compromised hybrid of Prometheus/Alien. 3/5 for me at the very least.

The Predator felt like a really good comedy about a group of military misfits, and then they threw Predators into the mix and it became a franchise parody. Grant it this movie entertained me in ways, but between the ill advised cgi super predator(a guy in a suit wasn't possible?), and that insanely stupid tacked on ending, I was just gobsmacked by how misguided the film was... Honestly, I was mildly on board with the film, i was ready to give it an almost passing grade... until that ending happened. 2.25/5 ended up my final score on it. Shane Black failed to understand what made Predator great.

Yes we can.

I really enjoyed all four Predator films. I laughed at Alien:Covenant. It's the only Alien film I don't own.

I don't get the hate for Predator 2. I think it is an excellent movie that builds on the first movie. I think it is a step above the Predator movies that have come after.

I guess people compare it to the first one. I like Predator 2.

It's obviously a step down from the first movie but that doesn't make it bad.

I concur 100%. Some people think that it does, though.
