I know I'm knew to Blufans (Frozen was my first) but wasn't there whole draw in that they only sold their limited quantity to true collectors? Wasn't it like that in the beginning? When did they start selling to retailers? If they truly cared they would stop selling to retailers in bulk like that. Clearly they have enough of a fan base to sellout to just collectors.

If something is able to be sold for a profit, people will find a way to acquire that item if they have the determination and money. These are sold in China online at taobao.com (their Amazon basically) so even if they're limited in their preorder amount there, I'm sure they can just ask friends and family to order some too. It's a pretty simple strategy, and the way that most resellers get huge quantities of limited items online.

So I'm wrong, they never sold to just collectors via the forums? Does anyone? Cuz I'm not familiar with the others and Ex Machina FilmArena will be my first title from them but it sounds like they only sell to collectors? Which sounds right cuz I barely can find any FAC on the black mareket

carllenc has said that he would ban people from future GBs if he saw GB copies on eBay. That doesn't keep people that buy them off the website from doing it. Personally I've seen 5 or 6 copies of As Above So Below sold on eBay so those came from some other source.

Don't forget about their third step-cousin, twice removed, on their Mother's side.

Cause he knows the numbers that are assigned to people

Yes, that's dependent on the eBay listing showing/disclaiming the number of the release

O so that's the reason why he blocks out the numbers from his pics but he isn't scared either cuz one day I asked him what #'s he had and he told me them all.

carl can try all he wants to keep them off ebay but its just going to happen no matter what. He tries his best and is a great GB host for sure but things like this cant be stopped 100% either. He can choose to not let someone in on his group buy though at any time if he feels they are selling them for profit.

Not to mention situations where people aren't joining the group buys to flip but are like me and want to sell the release because they either didn't like how the product turned out or they are broke and need some extra cash between pay checks.

For real. I don't care at all if people buy and sell, because that is what collectors do, this is a business for lots of folks. BUT it's the hypocrisy from some members that can be irritating.

For example: It's not right for Joe to just buy and sell, But I can buy and sell because this/that release isn't perfect in my eyes OR I'm broke and in dire need of funds asap. So that gives me the right, but not you ect...

I collect because I love movies. Because it excites me, and it feels like something I was born to do.

i have to agree with MintConditionSteel ...

it goes both ways depending on who's view your looking at.

at the end of the day i do not think any one can make a case about someone wanting to get rid of excess from their collection like 1 or 2 copies its the members selling 10-25 copies bought through as everyone says family and friends or other unscrupulous ways that is the problem.

and i cant see it ending anytime soon while people keep paying because for some its the only route they have to getting a copy.

Dude because what 1 rich person does effects all the poor people.
[Show spoiler]Yes a little exaggerated
I suppose you don't believe in climate change either? The rich can afford not to care, the poor can't.
