The location has nothing to do with not playing for England steedeel just look at
Lambert when he was at Southampton last season for example.

No, but don't expect not to be called a glory boy when you have zero actual ties to Liverpool yet are being extremely condescending towards him, one of the few guys on here actually supporting and being loyal to his hometown team. I very much respect that.

Most of us are or were at some point glory boys to some extent. Let's not kid ourselves. I've been in London for exactly two days in my entire life but I've followed Arsenal since the 90s and have stayed loyal to my team through thick and thin. Do I consider myself a true fan? You bet I do. Nothing can be done about me not being from or living in England but there's no denying that it was growing up watching some of the Arsenal legends of the 90s and early 2000s dominate that made me fall in love with the club.

I do on the other hand support all my hometown teams, particularly our hockey team here, very passionately and have so my entire time living here.

Yeah, to say we are not a big club is ludicrous. I'm not naive enough to think we are giants but we are certainly a big club. 40,000+ crowds, 5,000 (if allocated) regular away support, six times league champions, 2 times fa cup winners and record crowd of 75,000! However, like you correctly said, supporting your own team is crucial. If we had rubbish crowds and not a single trophy in over 100 years I would still attend every home match.

Anyone can pick a top team and stick with them, that's the easy part. That's not real support to me though.

First half of Stoke Leicester played, I was pretty hopeful for this game especially after Arsenal two weeks ago and Chelsea before but it looks like Hamer is the only player actually playing for Leicester, Schlupp is a fun player but he's also absolutely shocking at times because he lacks any real refinement.

Stoke are definitely the better squad right now, they made some really beautiful play along the way, but they are a little too quick to foul or play for free kicks for my tastes. It's been a scrappy brawl of a first half, I'm hoping the second half sees big changes.

THREE POINTS! Huge props to Cambiasso but Pearson was the man of our match. He tried some new things in the first half and it didn't work so he went back to a more familiar style and we ended up finishing the match as the better side, and the winners. Chuffed.

He's just managed to help Spurs score a second in the game this morning, and his lack of composure and speed of thought have cost your team horribly in several matches this year. Christ, he makes Fabian Delph look like Xavi, and I'd rather see Mark Noble represent his country than your clogger. You yourself have called him a liability and since then, four wins in 17 matches has made him worthy of a cap? Your red and white striped glasses must be a little bit too tight around your head.

As for my credentials? I've been a Liverpool fan since 1974, after my brother chose them for me to cheer for in the 1974 cup final vs Newcastle. He had a man-crush on Malcolm MacDonald and grabbed the Toon before I had a chance to. Once you've chosen your team though, you stick with them, and that's what I've done.

When I began earning, and the rugby season at school allowed, I regularly attended Sutton Utd matches, and held a season ticket from 1985 through 1998, when I moved to FL to be with my American spouse. Over the years I've been to Red's games when time and money would allow, but, to be honest I just love football and would watch it and have an opinion even if I had no affiliation. Thankfully over here we get every game live, every weekend, so I am able to (over) indulge myself regularly.

Anyway, you will probably regard this as an attack, but the stuff about you is more an observation really. Everybody is different and pulling the "i'm a REAL fan" card has become increasingly jaded.

Good luck for the season, but I think you may struggle again with your current squad.

Cattermole won man of the match, were you aware of that?

He broke up attacks all afternoon. Never mind me though, I was just at the game.

Finally, yes at times he was a liability but the turnaround has been stunning. Him and Wickham kept us up. I admire that about him and I will defend him against people who have only seen brief highlights or form opinions on past seasons. (He is still young don't forget)
