Nope. As long as you don't block it.

Check out the owner's thread HERE. I've owned one for 3 months and love it. My second is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

IMHO it is the best sub for it's price point. It's super solid.

And CS is outstanding. They respond to e-mails within the hour and have always been very professional and helpful over the phone. If you have the room and the money ($350 shipped), I can't see how you'll be disappointed.

You have the Premier Acoustic sub as well. I have this sub and it's worlds better than the AA sub12. There's also the Polk PSW505 on sale now at Newegg for 249 shipped with 3 day shipping. They are both excellent subs for the money and have good track records.

PA and Polk make good subwoofers. For the money though, those subwoofers cannot match the performance of the A2-300.

Finally got my 2ND HDsub15 today, for lack of space I have them stakced on top of each other. Iwas wondering how the sound would be for this (2 subs at the same time) WWOOOOOOWWWW!!!!! I actually had ot turn down the receiver output I had it at +3db's I ended up turning it down to 0db's on the receiver and even that is quesitonable. I understand some people on here have had bad, super bad luck with these AA sub's. But I am telling you what if you on a tight budget and you want GOOD DEEP, CLEAN, TIGHT, bass you'll love it. I have 2 subs and they are awesome. Thank you Bigdaddy for this thread you've ben awesome as always.

now if only I can get the stupid hum to go away I'd be in better business. I'm going to call them as see what their people say. I've down everything that everyone has said to do to elminate the hum, for now I just turn the sub's off when I'm not using them.

BigDaddy feel free to put me down as owning "2" HDSUB15's both are black. I no longer have the RW12.

Thumbs up Hd-sub15

Be sure and tell us where you finally position the 2nd sub, and how the two of them sound together. I have the black HD-SUB15 as well, and am seriously considering getting a second one this year.

Just my 2cents; I have/had many powered subs. As for hum, its exists on my Infinity ps-12 and also on my Polk psw505. You need to get close to either to hear it. Its not a problem! Noticeable under 6" from the driver to hear it with no signal. Bad amps have existed with many mfgs.- Polk/Infinity/av123 etc. etc. After a while they are "fixed". I have/had 4 AA subs with no problems and they all sounded great. As for customer service i called one time with a question and the rep. was courteous and helpful. Under $200 shipped - hard to beat.

Sorry bro. I didn't think you wanted to spend that much. Hell if the A2-300 would have been in stock like they are now I would have snatched one up and never looked back. Good choice. I'm sure you'll be in bass heaven!!

Bummer I just looked and it shows there's a wait time again for the A2-300. I guess they just won't ever be able to keep them in stock at that good of a price. I still don't know how they do it?

I would of spent that much earlier, i was just worried about how huge this beast is. But Ill make it work, the quality, and the customer service of the a2-300 has been raved about. Its worth it, Right?

WELL...... I did some bass crawling (i think i spelled that wrong ) anyway. And I discovered with the help of my oldest daughter who is turning into as much of a bass head as I am. that WE BOTH agree I'm getting a bit more deeper louder bass by having on the other side of the tv.

SO it goes sub endtable with all in one printer, tv and then the other sub.

I would have liked to try another place but wife won't let me.. So I'm stuck with what I can place where ever. Based on the room configuration and where windows and doors are. Other then having them stacked in the corner this will sufice and also balance it out more in the room. I used to have a softer bass signal in the middle of the room (where no one sits) but it is almost completly gone now, with the new arrangment. That and I didn't add polyfill to the second sub yet. If we decide to re-organize the living room then I wil have to do it al over again. Then again I'll have to do it all over agin a bit cause of geting new speaker's.

edit: Oh crap I didn't answer your question about how they sound together. After doing a few test disks (blu movies) that have aweseom bass. "step up 2", "Termintor Salvation". Just to name 2 of them. I feel, and think that I get deep bass level's and tighter bass with 2 of them. Don't get me wrong I had this with just 1 sub. But I think that having 2 of them working together is perhaps heplking each other reinforce the LLOOOWWW levels even more. which is awesome. that And I was able to turn down the receiver's level down withough sacrificing levle's at all.

I think I got it pretty ok. Of course if the other's in the house don't like it........well.....I'll just have to restack it which won't be a to horrible loss. but we will see.

Angry

praised too early......mine failed today, after only 2 days. i disconnected it to clean behind my entertainment ctr, plug everything back up. but almost no sound from sub.

check all wires, changed rca to another sub set i have, changed y-adapters....still same problem. have to turn it all the way up to get anything.
dropped my old sub back in place......output is fine.

i daisy chained the new sub to mu old sub. woooowww! sound. disconnect it, wired it back up (all cables tested on old sub), & output back to gone.
??????
i ended up putting my old sub back. i'm going to test hi-levels tomorrow to see if amp is blown. i suspect the rca issue so i'm testing it second. any other suggestions? fuse is also o.k. & i changed that too.

someone had an rca work around, does anyone remember who it was? i hate having to read through this whole thread again to find him or the person who swapped out the amp. thanks & beware. this latest batch of amps is garbage.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Hoepfully, you can replace the sub without a problem. I hope you have registered within 10 days of purchase for warranty.

The person who had similar problems with the RCA inputs and modified them was Bucho54. Check his gallery for the pictures.

I'm confused BigDaddy what was the original issue and what exactly did he do. I seen the pics but don't understand the tech side of it. would you mind explaining?
