Went cake tasting this past weekend for our wedding cake. Settled on just a simple 2 tier cake (this is a SMALL wedding since it the 3rd one for both of us). Decided on lemon cake with a lemon filling on the bottom layer and carrot cake with a cream cheese icing on the top. They even let us go home with all the samples.....must of added up to over 20 different combinations of cake and icing/filing.

Oh my gosh, I need to go there and tell the I too am getting married and want to sample a whole bunch of cakes

I might go see The Accountant 2 tomorrow and if I do, that will make it four weeks in a row that I have seen movies at the theater.

And I thought my days of posting about wanting a motorcycle were over but now that I'm thinking about getting my second one...well sorry

I have the LE Arrow set from '17 and never got around to picking up the Kino 4K. My patience paid off.

Various reasons why we're not seeing certain films or/and film series getting Blu-ray releases for example (rights and clearance issues, lack of suitable elements etc.). The Australian release of The Mothman Prophecies sounded pretty good, but apparently it had lossy, not lossless audio. Dithered on the limited edition (the standard edition might still be available). Been hoping for a US and UK label announcement.

The Relentless film series is something, since I first checked them out properly, I've hoped gets a boxset release (instead of them being made available separately), partly because of Leo Rossi being in them (have only seen them in Halloween II). Famke Janssen pre-GoldenEye appeared in one of the films.

Arrow can be a label whose announcements I get disappointed by on a regular monthly basis, then all of a sudden something gets announced that you didn't expect that boosts your enthusiasm for the label.

Agree. I am getting tired of a lot of these boutique reruns. I am excited for Swordfish, though.

While I didn't tour it, I'm pretty sure that I walked by the Department of the Taoiseach while on my vacation. And speaking of cats, I've been watching a lot of funny cat videos on FB and YouTube lately. While I've never had a pet as an adult, I'm more of a dog person, but cats are pretty damn cute too.

Speaking of Ireland, I'm still at IHOP where they're currently playing Imagine Dragons' Demons. I'm pretty sure the first time I heard of them was listening to Radioactive at the pub in Kilkenny while recovering from my car accident. Hard to believe that song is now 12 years old. I don't have any of their albums but I do have those two songs on iTunes.

This came mind today, not sure why, but in about three months from now stores will be putting their Halloween merchandise out for sale. For sure with Lowes, Menards and Home Depot.

The Hy-Vee grocery stores last year put Halloween candy on sale in late July, it's not that far away when you think about it.
