But yeah…I’m waiting for a sale or the entire collection 4K box set.

Will you be getting it?
If I were to be honest, I'm not sure. It reminds me of Turbine's Knight Rider set (the limited edition release (that was one of those 'once in a very long moon' purchases). I have to very picky these days with which titles I want to get. With the Murder, She Wrote set coming out later on in June, and the Connery 4K set two weeks later (subject to change), out of the two I am more interested in getting the Murder, She Wrote set.

I won't get everything on my want list, but I hope to get most things. Normally, I get something in the VS and Partner labels Halfway sale, but I think I will be passing on it (I used to be excited about these type of sales, but when I'm having to be very picky, I end up not getting the titles at all or at another time when they have a similar sale on).

I have got some steelbooks (I don't mind them but I'm not a big fan of them).

Well I talked to my dad's sister the other day and it was in regards to his will. My dad will be 75 this year and he may have several more years left but he's showing signs of dementia. They want to get the will taken care of while he's still mentally sound (enough) and can make those decisions on his own. The plan is for me to become his power of attorney and one day, I'll eventually inherit his house. I'm his only child so there is no one else to share anything with.

The thing is, I asked my aunt to reach out to my mom and she did and now it sounds like they both think it would be a good idea if I moved back in with him and took care of him for as long as needed. I've noticed memory issues with my dad, especially in the last month, but other than that, he can still take care of himself. He doesn't have much of a life at nearly 75, but he gets out and does a bit here and there. Tennis is his big thing and I think he still plays every Sunday.

But the idea of me moving back in...Unfortunately, he doesn't live in San Jose and he doesn't even live in the Bay Area. He lives about an hour and fifteen minutes away with no traffic. That's not too far but I really don't want to do that commute to work five days a week. The traffic in the Bay Area can be awful but I do work a schedule that I think would have me going against the traffic. But I've done that commute before for the exact same job and I really don't want to do it again. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position where I can have him move in with me right now.

Anyway, so some stuff that's a bit heavier than motorcycles and Colombians on my mind right now. What's making it worse is my mom seems to be fully invested in this idea of having me move back in and I think it's for my own benefit in regards to any inheritance. But the pressure from her is not making this situation any easier.
Best of luck to you and yours, and hope you get it figured out!

That said, I agree with Fors' advice.

I don't have any idea what put you in the bot's crosshairs as opposed to anyone else here.

My medical bills are well into 7 figures. My very recent 7 day hospital stay alone (which explains my absence) cost over $250,000. My medication costs so far this year (thru the end of April) just exceeded $300,000. I have been fighting my disease for 4 years now, too, so my cumulative medical bills would buy a pretty nice home almost anywhere.

It will remain a mystery. Yeah that is a good amount of change. If you're insurance had one of those loyalty programs, you'd probably be platinum by now.

So I've leveled up. Been surprisingly quiet here squirrel-wise, but we've had crazy rain storms consistently throughout the week knocking out power a few times. It's also been cold with Fall-like temps. It will be down to 42 tomorrow night.

I noticed the garbage can was knocked over and thought it was from the wind. I began to think I was losing my mind as the bag was gone! I knew there was a bag in there ready to go on Tuesday.

After using my Colombo skills, I found the bag about 50 yards away in the woods. It was definitely a bear.

The other day we actually had some sunshine (finally) so I opened up the cellar doors to dry out the basement as we got some water. I forgot to close them. I woke up realizing the bear could be down there, but thankfully he wasn't.

More rain overnight and storms. Knocked out power for the neighbors as they're on a different grid. Fun week.

Looking forward to tonight being my Friday. Last night sucked as I overslept and both my bike and my car were at work so I had to get a Lyft. I could have ridden my mountain bike to work or still used PT. Biking would have gotten me to work a bit late and PT would have gotten me to work at least a half hour or so late I think.
Anyway, $15ish for Lyft and I clocked in on time. Like yesterday, I took a little nap after work today and now it's 1:46pm so I'll try and get some more rest by about 3:30pm or so.

Also, if I had more land (something I often wish I had), I would totally have a garden.

Thinking of what I am going to do this Memorial Day weekend with my son spending it with his mom......more than likely I will start will clipping the hedges and other yardwork at my fiancee's place. Weather should be nice around here in SE PA.....around 70-75 and sunny all 3 days.

I would stress to you that you might want to think about actually moving in with your dad. I know you have your reservations about it and Fors* gave some good advice on that. I'm not sure if it's the right advice, though. After your dad has passed you might look back and regret not moving in with your dad. Especially over something such as a commute. I get that the commute is a important issue now, but it won't be when he passes. I would give anything to have more time with my dad. The last 2-3 years of his life I spent less and less time with him. And I sincerely regret that.

Take it from someone who has lost a lot of people and has gone through hell most here couldn't even dream up. Despite all the things that I suffered and went, I wouldn't go back and change anything. If anything, I would ask for even more of it. Just to have time with the ones I love that are no longer here. I understand the reasoning behind your trepidation, but in the end I think you'll regret not doing it more than you would to actually do it. You only get once with your father. You'll have the rest of YOUR life to be alone. And when that times comes, you'll start thinking differently.

I can just imagine you out there on your knees digging around, cursing, wearing a big floppy gardening hat and a some flower-adorned gardening apron. And then there's a joke about maybe when you're out there digging around, you can try and dig up your balls and reattach them

If any of you kids wanted the Lifeforce 4K from Arrow, it's back in stock at Orbit. Unlike the Shout release, you get both cuts in 4K which is pretty awesome.

Going to hopefully get some quotes from a few local fence companies. I have no fence right now but want one (I'm thinking black aluminum). So it won't be this year, unless I hit the lottery, and maybe not even next year. But right now I have no idea how much this would cost. So it's a start to a future idea.

I'm thinking maybe 1-2 years, refinance the mortgage as I do have a considerable amount of equity, and use the proceeds on this and a new pool.

Have had another look at the two Sean Connery Bond 4K titles coming out here - you have the bulky boxset containing (not 100% confirmed yet) twelve discs (six 4K and six Blu-ray), and a 4K-only pack of the same films. I would have liked it if they had done combo packs of each of the official six Connery Bond films (one 4K disc and two Blu-ray discs (with the latter, one disc for the film on it's own and the other Blu-ray disc for the extras).

Here in WA, there are programs that pay people to be live-in caretakers. Maybe you can just live there and focus on that for a while.
