Based on what I've seen and read, there was no excuse for the comments that this DJFlex made. Especially from a self-proclaimed "laid back guy." But please remember Todd that the better man takes the high road. This clown will get his. The greater travesty would be you leaving this place you love and all the great friends you have here who keep coming back day after day to check in and see you. Last night was a dark, dark night my friend. I'm glad to see this morning is a brighter day.

I got caught up in a scenario a couple of months ago. Some guy came on here trolling and was blasting blu-ray as a format. I should have been smarter about it and realized that it was a troll and just continued on my merry way. I didn't. I blasted back, which was not the right thing to do. Someone reported me to the mods, and I was suspended for a week. I nearly left the forum myself at that time. I mean, here was this troll attacking the very ilk of this site, and I got suspended??? Nonetheless, it taught me a lesson. I now stop and review my posts and take a deep breath before I click that "submit" button.

I know this has gotten long winded, but in honor of you, I wouldn't have it any other way! You are inspiration, and I look forward to your chats and your posts. I'm very glad to call you My Friend.

~~Paul
I Dont Know What Else To Say,Paul,my Friend.
I have long wondered what your name was,but I figured when the time was right you would let me know.

That is why I never asked and always called you progers. And if you would rather I stick with progers,I will certainly understand and respect your request.

I have to say I would have never imagined you getting suspended on this Forum. You seem so laid back and peaceful that I couldn't imagine you getting upset.

But I guess even those that lay low and creep silent can occasionally get upset about something enough to lose their cool and carry it one step too far.

That is the main reason why I cleared my galleries, posted I was leaving and got off of the Forum as Quickly as I Could.

If not I already had a PM ready to let loose if I just pressed eneter. And if a single moderator would have seen what I had typed I would have been suspended or banned one. Because I had both barrels loaded and ready to cock both hammers back.

But I got off of the Forum as quick as I could so I didn't do anything to get myself in that kind of trouble.

And I see in Both Good Times and Bad that I have the Best Friends Any One man Could Ever Ask For.

You are right,I am Blessed to Have All of You as my Friends.Thank You All.For Everything.Everyword.Every Post.Every PM.
I Could Never Ask For Better Friends Then I Have Here On B-R.Com.

And I see right now,Even if there were 50 DJFlex calling me a$$h0LEs every Day.It wouldn't be worth leaving and losing all the Incredible Friends I Have Here.

So,THANK YOU ALL.YOU ARE TRULY THE GREATEST INDIVIDUALS I HAVE EVER BEEN BLESSED TO KNOW.

And IF ANYONE TOLD ME THERE IS NO GOD ALL I HAVE TO DO IS POINT TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU(MY FRIENDS)AND SAY NOW TELL ME THAT THERE IS NO GOD!!!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it in my eyes and I'd be so fortunate one day to go watch a few Blus with you on your system. I'd actually love that. By the way, which person do you think would be happiest: 1) the guy that is on a budget that adds pieces to his system once in a while when he can afford it and makes it a labour of love or 2) the rich guy that's always changing his components because he's never happy with it ? I'd rather be the first guy since the 2nd is never happy or satisfied and that's not that great of a feeling even though it all looks exciting. If I were you my friend, I'd be very proud of your system because you built it with blood, sweat and tears I'm sure. Glad to still see you on here buddy
Hey Gates,my Friend.
I Hope You Are Having a Great Start To Your Weekend.

And yes, that guy said something about my system not having any High-End Components. But that doesn't bother me at all.

I will admit it to him or anyone who cares to listen.I would Love a High End System(and in time I will have a High-End component here and there)So,I am really happy with what I do have and how much I have in both the Home Theater and the Audio System.

But I will make upgrades over time. Though I may not end up getting too many High End Components since you got be hooked on Movie Collectibles.

Now All I do is spend as much time looking at components, speakers, and cables as I do looking at Gentle Giants and Master Replicas.

In fact there is a way to get a Free Star Wars Mini-Bust on Gentle Giants Website buy paying nothing but shipping only.

And EE and a couple of sites are selling it for $19.99 to $29.99 before including their shipping fees.So where its almost $30 to $40 including shipping fees you can still get it for $10.01 shipping from Gentle Giants.

And its a limited edition of 3000 pieces if I remembered correctly.

So if you are interested let me know and I can send a link.

But Thanks for Everything my Friend. I appreciate Everything you have done for me Gates,my Friend.

In regards to the name calling, if a$$hole is the worse thing he called you, then you got off easy. I worked the billing help desk for a while at an Internet company. Boy, could I tell you some stories. The nice little old ladies had the worst language of the bunch. I've been called so many names I lost track.

Any way, here is a song that came to my mind last night when ready about your exodus:

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
You tell me your blue skies fade to grey
You tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well, you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong (ahhh...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh, you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

'Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

(Oh, yeah, yeaaah, yeah)
Had a bad day
(Oh, had a bad day)
Had a bad day
(Oh, yeah, yeah, yeeeeah)
Had a bad day
(Oh, had a bad day)
Had a bad day...
Had a bad day...

Thank You Sincerely,Lou,Buddy.
I appreciate what you said and also what you posted.

Its amazing how things can mean so much to someone.
But everyword you wrote, spoke, posted means the world to me Lou.

You are one special guy(All of you are)But I am sincerely thankful for expressing your self like this.I really dont know how to say what I want to say.
Just Thank You.Its been an Honor and pleasure in getting to know you.All of You.

I just couldn't leave,I wouldn't have had a way to fill the void it would have left.I guess because I'm home most everyday, and I spend so much time on the forum.

I still have until mid April before i reach a year here. And about a month after that before I started posting. So,I would say its been about 8 months before I began posting that I have been a member of the Forum. So to have been blessed to meet all of you great individuals over an 8 month period of time is amazing.

But Lou Just hearing you saying you felt like you experienced a loss. Its the same exact way I felt when I turned the computer off and went and laid down.

I couldn't have left for long,I would have missed all of you so much I wouldn't have been able to watch a movie without thinking of all of you.And I dont mean that in a odd way.

I just would have just seen and remembered all of you and this forum everytime I turned the AVR on.Or when I would have heard that THX Music or Universal and others,Immediately Blu-Ray.com would have entered my mind.

So,Lou,I want to Say I am Sincerely Honored by your post. And I am extremely Greatful I have had the chance to meet you and become your friend.

Its made this past 8 months a Great time in my life.

So Thanks to ALL of you,Its been one of the greatest streches of time I have ever experienced, when I got to meet all of you.

So,from this Point on I will make sure I Thank My Lord and Saviour for the Blessing He Gave Me When he brought each and every one of you in my life.

Thank You Rhett,my Friend.
While its only been a short time since I have been blessed to know you its been a thrill to have you as my Friend.

Like the rest of these Amazing Individuals,Knowing you has been a Tremendous Honor. And I am Greatful everytime I read one of your posts or look thru your thread.

That I was Blessed to have a life with you in it.(All of You,Everyone)Without knowing all of you,I wouldn't want to know what my life would be like.
But I do Know it wouldn't be as amazing as it is now

(except for this upcoming day next week when I hit the Big 40.Which NO Offense to anyone here. But to me its going to be one of the worst days I will have.So I hope it would hurry up and get over with, personally!)

I got the package yesterday too. And could you believe I got that bust of Saluman for just $25, including shipping? That was outrageous!! I am going to check out the Gentle Giant site now.......

Welcome back!
Thanks Buddy. Glad you understood and didn't take anything the wrong way.

Also,I am thrilled you got your package.I hope it will look good in your HT Room.

And getting that sweet bust of Saluman with the glowing eye of Sauron will be an excellent addition to your collection.

Default My Apologies!

Hello Todd.

After reading this thread and seeing the response, I just felt that I had to express to you my perspective on the matter.
I want to apologize to you for what happened. I feel that I am in some sense responsible for what has transpired over the last two days.
I never truly thanked you for coming to my defense over the statements DJFlex made and then later recanted, in my gallery. That really speaks volumes for who you are and what your friends mean to you and it's much appreciated.

Todd, I've read every response that the members have posted regarding your importance to them and this site! I am amazed but, not surprised by the support and love these guys, myself included, have for you.

As Fors said, I really think that this situation is result of bad timing and coincidence. Mix in a little passion and this is what happens!

I know you are turning 40 and I completely understand about not accomplishing goals in one's lifetime, but know this, what you have accomplished here on this website, many wish they could touch folks the way you have! For some of us, it would take a lifetime to touch as many folks as you have in such a short period of time. The response from the members here when there was a possibility that you were leaving, Todd, I've never seen anything like it! And all because of how you have inspired us with your epic posts, full of acknowledgement, concern, accolades, helpful suggestions and tips, and praise. I know there are those in this section that wake up every morning looking forward to reading your posts which is full of motivation and inspiration, not to mention the colors! It's like a hot cup of coffee in the morning, but without the physical effects!

Alot of us are so busy with our lives and at times, not even our families can fill certain voids that exsist. Don't get me wrong, my family is my life, but there are things they can not satisfy, for instance, the comaraderie we have on this site. It's our get away. Some place where we all speak the same language and have the same passion. I know I can't talk about DAC's, 1080P or of course my favorite, cable management to my wife or daughters. They would look at me like I was nuts. I'm sure many can relate!
You my friend are the one that makes coming to this site so inviting!
You always see the positive and you make everyone feel like their system is uniquely special, even when they don't. Not to mention the effort needed to do what you do. Son, that is worthy of "Angel-ship"!

So, I close with, it's good to see you back and never let the small stuff ruin your day!
And one more thing. I remember some old knowledge my dad laid on me a long time ago about life and what you do with it.
A man has a circle of life. The size the circle is determined by how much responsibility he wants to handle. Some have a small circle which only the man can fit inside. Most have a circle that only he and his family can fit within. Some have a circle where he can fit a set amount of friends along with the family. Then there are men who have a circle that ca accommodate what seems like an unlimited amount of people. That responsibility/although not as intense as the small family circle, is still a heavy one. Obviously, not many have or can handle the type of circle. It usually takes a special/unique person to shoulder that kind of responsibility! Todd, your circle is a pretty large one my friend. How do I know this?! Because, this website is available to people all over the world, and you have reached posters from England to Australia to Asia to here all over the US and they all look forward to reading your posts! I know we are only talking home theater and A/V, but to some of us, it's one of the most important things we have, therefore in one way or another, we are all within your circle of life, even if it's only pertaining to this website, we're in there! So never ever think that you haven't accomplished much in life. It may not be material in nature, but that kind of accomplishment is too huge to measure and I am honored to be within your circle of life.
You have forged a place in all of our hearts.

Stay strong my AV Brother!

Todd - thanks again for the kind words and I'm glad to see you back here, posting in full force like the Talstarone we've all come to respect and appreciate. As I've told you several times before, I will continue to be envious of your setup, particularly your projector and screen.

I finally got a chance to watch Kung Fu Panda the other night. Awesome PQ, AQ, and story. All of the reviews I've read were spot on. Great movie and great presentation. One of these days I'll get to Ice Age 3, after the rave reviews you've given it.

I've gotta run now, my friend. I'm having a few people over tonight to watch some of these games. It's kinda like BYOF (bring your own food ) but I'm contributing my homemade special chili to the festivities. I've got to get on with making it. I'll chat with you again tomorrow.

And of course you can call me by name. User ID's are so impersonal. See ya buddy.

I know we are only talking home theater and A/V, but to some of us, it's one of the most important things we have, therefore, very special. So never ever think that you haven't accomplished much in life. It may not be material in nature, by that kind of accomplishment is too huge to measure and I am honored to be one within your circle of life.
You have forged a place in all of our hearts.

Stay strong my AV Brother!
Hi Lawrence,my Friend.I hope you are enjoying a Wonderful Weekend so far.
I sincerely appreciate the post you just left.It was extremely kind and thoughtful.

But I do want to say in NO Way or Reason at all,do I see you as being a part of what happened at all.
I will stand up for my friends as adimently as possible. And when I saw that post it just caught me the wrong way.

First I should have continued reading and I would have seen where flex(even though his post was still sarcastic)had changed his rating. If I would have seen this I would have left everything alone from the start.

And I also should have known if you were concerned about the post, you would have done something about it over the last couple of months it was there.

The other times I have stood up for others is when they have received posts or comments before they had a chance to see them.So its instinctive for me to "stick-up" for my friends.I need to realize we arent 18 or 19 years old anymore. When I stood up for all the guys in High School that would get picked on.And made sure those that did the picking on others dealt with me.

So,I should have left this alone.

But where I do see an issue is while I made my point to flex and said what I thought.I never once used a vulgarity or an obscene word.

So,if he felt like defending himself by talking junk about me and my system to me.And thats fine its his right.I do take issue with his calling me an a$$hole.I didn't call him one.So in him doing that it showed his lack of maturity.

He could have got his point across a hundred different ways that would have been even deeper shots at myself and my system. But there was No Need for Vulgarity on his part.

But its over and done with.I wont even make a comment about him in anyones gallery. And I wont say anything to him.As I havent talked to him at all.No exchanged mesages or anything.I simply left a comment in your gallery about a comment he left. Then he left a comment to me in my gallery where he called be an obscene and vulgar name.

I still feel it was uncalled for to take it that level, but that was his call.

And once I read your comment in your gallery about how you felt about the comment flex left that I took issue with. And when I saw it didn't bother you and you felt he had a right to say what he did.I removed my comment out of respect to you.

It is your Gallery. And I should apologize to you.I shouldn't make a comment like I did in your gallery saying that what someone else said and did was wrong.I should have talked to you about it first before I left the comment.

So,to you Lawrence,I sincerely am sorry for bringing this issue into your gallery comments. So,I do Apologize to you,Lawrence, for my action that was out of line and violated your Personal Space.

And I guarantee I will Never do it again.

But I still have never spoke to flex or even exchanged a message with him. So it was nothing more then I made a comment ,and he made a comment.I did make some comments but never once uttered any vulgarity.Like was done to me.

So,I hope you will accept my apology Lawrence, and I would like to continue being friends with you,if you are OK with that. And I do say I will never use your gallery comments for anything again except talking about your system.

And you are more then welcomed to come to my thread anytime. You will ALWAYS Be Welcomed.I truly hope you accept my apology and I will be welcomed on your thread.

And there are too many Great people on this thread and too many incredible things to talk about. To get into a scenario like yesterday(and the day before when it started).

So I hope all is fine with you,my Friend. Its time to watch as much football as I can before I turn in for the evening. Thanks for the Post and I Hope you Understand where I was coming from.

It was my fault, but I did what I did to stand up for a friend. But I realize you dont need anyone to stick up for you and you are fine with everyone's opinion and constructive critisizm.

So My Sincerest Apologies,my Friend. Have a Wonderful evening and I Truly Hope we can still be Friends.

Enjoy your Evening and the Playoffs(if you are a NFL Fan)Something I hope to learn if we can continue to be friends.

Paul,my Friend.Thank You Sincerely for the post.
I hope you have a Great Evening, and you and your company enjoy your evening watching the games

And Thanks for the review about Kung Fu Panda.I look forward to seeing and chatting with you tomorrow.

And,Call Me Todd,my Friend.Everyone else does(except this one guy who had a different name for me that wasn't as pleasant as Todd)
