That's how the world is my friend. I've been to university to read Physics and did a post grad and an ex-wife has a PHD in neurobiology. Just about everyone i meet in both fields was White or Asian. I was the only Latino there

You're just seeing a phantom problem that isn't there. I'd rather is see the real world reflected than roles distributed by skin colour, which sounds a bit disingenuous to me

No, it's merely how you have experienced the world. I've spent a large part of my life in academia and that's not what the world looks like in other parts of the USA.

Filming wrapped on GvK back in April, so its reshoots we have to worry about and i have a feeling they'll be coming.

I didn't catch that initially, but in retrospect and context of the film, I agree. All of the black and latino characters were "grunts."

Well if you've been to academia to experiance 'art class' or 'interpretive dance' then yeah i'd believe you (sorry that was my physics snobbery coming out, we'd used to joke how an arts degree was only useful to wipe your ass

Out of all the main speaking parts, all the prominent scientists and experts are white and Asian. Joe Morton's character is barely onscreen a few seconds.

None of the prominent scientists who have the most screen time are black, latino, or Middle eastern.

Whether you like it or not, that sends a message. People will pick up on it, consciously or unconsciously.

I was not talking about the arts. I think you're smart enough to know that (well I certainly hope so). I'm taking hard and soft sciences, and STEM more specifically.

I believe most people were wondering when the monsters were going to get back on the screen. Besides there is no reason to lie to make a point, I pointed out 4 black people that weren't "grunts", that's all.
