Dylan already sounds like that, so you might have something going there.

You’re looking at the wrong set, padawan. It was exclusive to The Beatles store and sold out in less than a day.

The scan feature at the Sam's gas pumps was down. Had to pay the old fashioned way and insert my cards. Good thing I had my Sam's card. I usually don't. Uff da.

Sleeper hits are known in the music industry as tracks that chart after not charting in their initial release, sometimes a few years later than their release.

Pretty Little Baby by Connie Francis has to be some kind of record for a sleeper hit - it was released 63 years ago. It was a deep cut that didn't get a platform release, then TikTok users got ahold of it and the song went meteoric.

It recently hit #13 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.

Just saw a promotional shot of the Hulk from the latest Captain America flick and, man, he still looks fake AF. CGI has come a long way since those early morphing effects in 90's Direct to Video movies but they can't seem to get this big green guy right. I'll take a real musclehead painted green over a digital blob any day.

No, I don't. It's much worse than that. The government could use me as a torture device. People would be spilling their secrets in less than a minute of me singing.

You're still being hosed. 11 LPs for that much money is outrageous. That's only two more than The B-52's boxset and it's more than half that price.

See. That's the trouble with music today. Anything can be a hit. Doesn't matter what it is. I could make the Alice theme song a hit if I wanted to and had enough money to do so. The Rembrandt's I'll be there only became a hit when they recorded it for their 1995 album L.P. and released it as a commercial single. My town may have started the initial craze, but that wasn't enough. Now, the rules are so screwed up that it doesn't give people a fair shot at attaining a hit on the Hot 100.

I'm glad that artists like Abra Moore can claim to having a REAL hot 100 hit. It took a lot to chart back then. and she did so through hard work, hard promoting, and a good song. It wasn't the highest charting, but it made a fairly sizable mark considering how hard it was back then. And how much legitimate competition there was People used to complain about the whole payola scheme, but I'd say it's worse now than it ever was. Especially, since there is no regulation or anything

Connie Francis had multiple number 1 hits and many of her songs made the top 10. Quite popular in her era, and she was the first solo female artist to chart. She's not some noob.

I know that. She was a very big and very popular singer. She charted major hits when it meant something. Now, it's means about as much as used toilet paper. None of this is a knock on her. It's a knock on the system. I would say the same thing in relation to any artists I love suddenly having a smash hit decades after release.

Are you interested in getting the vinyl release of the Goldfinger music score/soundtrack album? I can't remember if you have said so (and if you have, I've had a senior moment).

How is the 'other problem' at the moment (hint: that old lager TV advert)?

The mention of food buffets straight away made me think of Parks and Recreation and my favourite character from it (Ron Swanson and the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets (if it wasn't breakfast buffets, I put that down to me finishing watching the show several years ago and not seeing it again since).

I will back at the hospital in St. Louis tomorrow for a cardiac stress test (CPET) and later that afternoon I will be seeing my transplant cardiologist.

I have a high degree AV (atrial ventricular) block (electrical conduction problem) and that is a relative contraindication for a cardiac stress test, but it must be done even though it makes the test riskier for me. It's going to be rough.

Yeah, but the pay is awful and the amount of red tape you have to go through is exhausting. Not to mention it's impossible to get sand out of your ass crack. I don't know they do it.

Been in a really good place mentally lately, just trying to be grateful and thankful, but I'm tired of people's bullsh*t and have blatantly been calling it out...feels kinda good, ngl.
