Chick-fil-a for lunch today. I want to try that Dave's but it wasn't in the cards. Is that really $20 for a sandwich... and it doesn't include a drink? Damn. Dave is pretty proud of his chicken.

Many of us forget we will grow old someday. We're all going to be that elderly man holding on to his youth any way he can

DT Nashvegas used to be so great but now it's an absolute shitshow of wall-to-wall tourists and unending construction. Granted, last time I was there was on St. Patty's day weekend several years ago because one of my goomba brothers-in-law came down south and that was the meeting spot, but I have no desire to ever go again, it's so bad now.

On a similar topic, I had some of this yesterday and thought it was pretty damn good, a bit of a slow burn, but lit me up after a little while:

I'm nearly 60 so my someday is here. I'd rather get a 25 year old girlfriend to hold on to my youth but I don't think my wife would allow it.

My bad. I was just saying I ate there twice within two days so the meals set me back $20 but was poking fun at the fact that’s it’s like $10 per tender if you don’t count the fries.

Do you have a Dave’s in your area? I actually hit Cane’s today. Hate to say it, but Dave’s wins. I’ll give it to ‘em as their tenders are about double the ones you get from cane’s.

Someone showed a pic from a Cane's in like 2016 and the tenders were at least double the size they are now. Still though a 4-piece box combo with extra fry's no coleslaw and bob the toast with a medium drink for 13 bucks isn't terrible.

So Dave's just uses fat chicken? At $10 for one tender it better be phat chicken, yo. I'll eventually try it.

Saw a picture on my comp of some Puma sweatpants that I had and I had forgotten that I lost them some time ago and the fact that I don’t remember losing/leaving them somewhere bugs me. Oh well I guess. I can’t even remember the last time that I saw them. I’m guessing a couple years.

I love their crinkle cut fries, but yes tenders are mid and getting smaller by the year lol. What bothers me most is the place literally has 3 items that are needed to be made. Tenders, Fries and the toast but somehow the line always crawls at a snails pace.

Hard to forget when my body gives me constant reminders, but growing older easily beats the alternative. My spirit remains ever young with my sense of child-like wonder still intact.

I went to a Canes for the first time not too long ago....saw how small the menu was and thought we must be in some kind of smaller version of the store. I was shocked with the prices I saw and the line....so I just walked out and got a chicken sandwich somewhere else.

I exaggerated just a bit. Their #4 meal is a “slider” consisting of (1) “phat”tender slapped on slaw served with pickles, sauce and a side of fries. So, I was saying without the fries..you’re basically paying $10 per tender but the 2nd one only cost $4 more.

This is the additional tender meal for $14.

I remember that post! It is a very small menu but people seem to love it.

After my last experience, I agree. Not sure if I would go out of my way for it. Even the fries at Dave’s were better.

Not me. Not in the way the original poster was talking about anyway. I haven't looked my age EVER and may never. It's always a good 10 years younger that I look. And I don't act my age whatsoever. I find no reason to act my age. What's the fun in that. I am all about being young. But not in the way that makes one look pathetic. It's not forced or put upon. I just naturally am. I think it could be the Autism.

I wouldn't completely disagree with ya there. But there is still plenty of Nashville left to love. Great music venues, great history, great record store, and much more. If you avoid downtown for the most part, you can actually have a great time. It's also about when you come to visit. Never come here from May-September. It's crowded with wall to wall tourists. Also, always try to visit during the week if you can. It's really not as bad as it seems. I'll still take here over New York or L.A. any day.

I'm getting there myself, but I don't look it and probably won't ever. So, I don't have to worry about any of that. I just don't believe in any of that. As people age, some wear that age like a tight fitting Vegas suit. So much so that it becomes second skin. I don't. I'm naturally that way. But I wouldn't do it even if I wasn't. I don't mean doing the obvious things that make one stick out. Those you can tell try too hard to "be young". I'm talking about the little things. Like going to rock concerts, doing things despite it meaning it will be past your bedtime, not having a bedtime, not taking naps (intentionally anyway), being spontaneous, willing to grow, try new things, and so on.

I’ll be checking this out today. A bit odd to have this doc before the trial. I know it was a DNA match but…what happened to the presumption of innocence?

Moreover, they interviewed his family. Perhaps they needed money for lawyers.

I will be 58 in October. I am getting married (number 3) in October to my fiancee who has to be the most attractive woman over 40 I have ever seen or known (she'll be 60 when we get married). But we have the view, looks and behavior as someone in their 30's. In our world, age is only a number.....getting old becomes more about your mentality than anything else. Both my fiancee and myself enjoy listening to people guess and butcher our age based on our physique and/or lifestyle and then looking at their face when we tell them our actual age.
