^ Did I hear a gnat buzzing around, it seems so. I think he was after free digital codes, sorry you have to look elsewhere.

I went to the Cinerama in LA and Century 22 in San Jose, CA. They were cool for their times, but time moves on. Get over it, it's time to pick some Streaming Providers. I like Amazon Prime, MA, Netflix, and Vudu. Maybe HBO Max too!

I did get my tickets for Wrath of Man in Dolby Cinema for the week after Scott Pilgrim.

And as I mentioned yesterday, I was feeling pretty lousy after my second COVID dose. Well, now, as I type this, I feel pretty damn good. The side effects are gone for the most part.

Thats how it usually goes with the mRNA pair of vaccines. If you feel tired a bit take it easy. Looks like another good Jason Statham film.

Yes, everyone realises ownership is shrinking and disc is in decline. However, status quo will be resumed and things will look a little different in a few months. These figures are exaggerated by exceptional circumstances as was noted back in March 2020.

My philosophy is get it while you can.

I don’t want ownership to decrease but if it does I’m thankful I was able to get so much of the stuff I like while it was available.

I understood you. And I believe you are wrong. Q1 2022 is when things will begin to get back to normal.

Movies like Black Widow and Top Gun Maverick hit screens in Nov. which means disc don't come out until Q1 2022.

Black Widow, Conjuring 3, Spiral, Jungle Cruise, Fast And The Furious, Suicide Squad, Free Guy, A Quiet Place 2, Cruella. I would say that’s far healthier than last year. Most of them coming by the summer.

I do have a feeling that Dune may get pulled from HBO MAX at last minute and be a strictly theatrical release only. I think it's WB's final big tent pole film of the year.

I wouldn't put it pass them to change their policy. Rather shortsighted to think that you need to prop up HBO Max and miss out on the necessary revenue to recapitalize WB for more movies. At the very least then can change it to $30 PVOD to see it like Disney + does.

The death of physical media is not on the horizon. People forget about the pandemic and use 2020 numbers to signal a decline in physical media purchasing. I tried out streaming and honestly I can live with the slightly lower quality. But what irritates me is you're paying that monthly subscription fee and many of these movies pop up on free services time to time anyway like Tubi and Crackle.

I just don't see the point of paying for streaming unless there is exclusive content I want (like Disney+ with Mandalorian). I would probably subscribe to a streaming channel or two if the price were more reasonable (like Disney+ at $8/mo) and if you had every major studio's content between a couple of subscriptions instead of each studio being on its own service.

Give it another year. Once more people get vaccinated and more things start reopening, the numbers will return to normal.

And regardless of what they do, if they do a full theatrical release, I will be seeing it in Dolby Cinema in theaters.

I agree that it's not in the horizon, because if it was, these niche labels putting out 4K UHD Blu-ray releases would be crapping themselves on possibly going out of business. There's no incentive for them to still be in business if physical media was on the way out. Sure, a major studio can pivot or change it's business model a bit, but boutique labels would be the first to go under. IMO
