Having another one of those days where I feel like I need a cup of coffee in order to be able to get up and make a cup of coffee... ugh.

Yep. I made the mistake of clicking on one topic on FB, and nothing but people throwing insults. Got my social media time in for the month.

Have you watched any of the Indian films? They ones I've seen tend to be pretty good and if you like movies loud, you won't be disappointed.

That travel bug is starting to bite again. I thought I would be looking for some offroading videos on YouTube but ended up going with a Traveling Germany video to start. I just recently renewed my passport for the purpose of flying domestic later this year. I'm hoping to get my second motorcycle in August or September or possibly toward the end of the year. I think I will get a second bike but if I don't, I need to seriously consider getting back there next year. So far, I've been to Ireland, Germany and Austria and stuck a foot into France with a trip to Colmar which is just over the border. I'd love to return to any one of the three countries I've visited but I'd also love to explore many new places as well.

My sister got back from their 10-day trip to Italy. She lost her passport in Germany and had to stay an extra day. She texted a bunch of stuff of her trip to my mom.

Dude, all she had to do to get an extra day was to lose her passport. I should have done the same! It took a car accident resulting in four broken ribs and a punctured lung to get me an extended stay while in Ireland

I just got done watching this video which I thought was pretty good. Don't expect anyone to actually watch it but I'll share the link.

And how was your sister's trip? Had she been to Europe before?

She's been back since Tuesday. That was her first time in Europe and from what I was told, she liked it. They went with a tour group with a bunch of retired rich folks from Texas.

I know they went shopping, but I bet she didn't get me anything.

I might be over their house this weekend, so I can ask.

If she did get you anything and you don't want it, show it to me cuz I might want it

I'd love to get to Italy someday. Does she live in Hawaii as well? If so, that must have been some flight.

Yes. We are all from HI. It is 12 hours ahead in Italy. I think their flight was at least 16 hrs one way.

I can ask my mom on what things that they bought on their trip. I don't care.

Have a feeling the sixth Final Destination film may have finished at the local cinema, but will check to see if it is still showing. I didn't want to go when it opened because of how busy it would be (same way I'm thinking with the new I Know What You Did Last Summer film).

Not sure if I’ll make it to see the remake but Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer) is in it and I met him recently and he signed my Bram Stoker’s Dracula Laserdisc. He told me how he was recently in London having tea with Richard E. Grant. Very nice dude and extremely down to earth, also a lucky bastard as he was engaged to Jennifer Connelly.

If you've not seen it, I recommend a detective drama series Billy Campbell starred in called Cardinal. It lasted four seasons.

Hell, she's practically retired now that she's a grandma. The thing with this whole job search is hindered by some factors:
  1. Part time jobs are hard to find that are not seasonal or are long term
  2. It's hard getting any job, much less part time, at my age
  3. I don't have the requirements to get most jobs.
  4. The only jobs I could get are the same ones a teenager would get

Mainly though, my mood and well being are such that it's difficult for me to want to go searching for a part time job. Much less have a part time job. It's a struggle sometimes to just maintain what I do have. I had to take off yesterday because I just couldn't face another day at work. Or another day period for that matter. The day off did help recharge me, but I can't do that every time I have one of those days. I don't know what I'm going to do. Now, my family is right about the extra income part. At least partially. In true honesty, all the extra money would do is give me more to blow. And that would make it much worse than it already is.

I don't know that I have any desire to ever go overseas again. Once was enough. I just don't see what the fuss is about. Plus, my legs couldn't handle it.

Now I will say that Italy is quite nice. At least the part that I was in, which was Rome. I could certainly "Roam around Rome"*

*I will give anyone $5.00 if they can guess where that comes from or what inspired it. I'll give you a hint. It relates to where I'm from on my avatar/from info.

.

That is cheaper than Disneyland, but that is for one park. I'm assuming anyway. And probably not near as good as Disneyland. Disneyland alone is worth one nut. And I do love my nuts. You end up getting two parks though, which is doubly awesome. I don't think I could go without either balls. It seems pointless to rev your engine if you ain't going anywhere. I can already do that with one of my medicines. But if that was the price of admission for both parks at Disneyland, I sure would be tempted.

Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes are gorgeous, although still a bit of a drive. And just outside of San Francisco is Point Reyes. Probably one of the most beautiful spots to visit in California. And there's also Monterey Bay.

I won't disagree with there. There is some damn fine lovely scenery up in those areas of California. However, San Francisco has become somewhat of a cess pool of late. And all the pretty scenery in the world would not make me want to trudge through there just to get the good stuff.

I'm admittedly a little biased, since being close to Disneyland is a been-there-done-that experience for me anymore. But it really has a lot more to do with the high(er) pricing now, which exacerbates the long waits. Only being able to get on 4 rides in 6-8 hours is not really my jam anymore. And then you try to go on the off-season only to find out the good rides are down for maintenance, and yet it's still relatively busy. I miss the days when my wife and I were still dating (late 90s) and we had annual passes (which at the time were the price of a single ticket today). We were both working swing shift and lived 15 mins. away at the time so once a week we'd go in the morning mid-week just to get coffee and walk around. Main St. was almost always empty and we had the whole place to ourselves.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the city itself. I wouldn't go there now unless I had to. I just like the general area up there. But there was one time that I appreciated when we stayed in downtown SF over a weekend during NFL season back in the late 90s. We were getting breakfast on a Sunday and just about the entire town was plastered in red from people sporting their 49ers gear. They were everywhere, street corner to street corner, building to building. And by the time the game started, nobody to be found. I'm not a SF sports fan (especially dislike the Giants), but I really appreciated the community gathering around their team.
