I think i will go with the regular edition then that already got 3 hours of bonus content. The deal breaker here is that its only a stream/download. Massively dissapointed in these news.
Why thank you Glad to be a part of the community and to have answered your questions. I think you may be right that some of the things I talked about were on TDK blu ray special features disc. Yes, it is disappointing considering the few Target exclusives i.e TASM had a bonus disc. I guess I can justify the price for a cool looking steelbook cover.

Yikes I just ordered The Departed Steelbook online from Best Buy because I couldn't find any at my nearby stores. I hope it doesn't come like that.

Haha. Thanks.

Just pre-ordered from Amazon. Don't personally care much about the documentary.

Thumbs up

FYI - WB just put a bunch of pretty good pics up from production on The Dark Knight Rises Facebook page. Thought some of you might be interested.

The Departed Steelbook is online there now? I've been trying to get this in the store but they never have it.

You don't want to order a single Blu from Best Buy - ever.
1 Blu - plastic garbage bag
2 Blu - two squares of cardboard glued together & kinda molded around your order
3 Blu - decently packed in a cardboard box

Maybe their message is simply "Spend More Money".

It has been for a few days now. The SKU is 6932757. No image shows up but it's the only Departed blu ray that shows up as $10 and it has been confirmed by some websites and people.

Cool they must have just put it on there. Even though it is on backorder.

Once I ordered like 6-8 blu rays from them online and it came in a small square box with them jammed inside with no space at all. 2 of my blu ray cases snapped when I opened them and another the plastic that holds the cover art was all messed up . Terrible experience. Amazon never disappoints.

Yeah they are on backorder so I think it will take like a week or 2 to ship. But that price is amazing for a great looking steel. It gets picked up everywhere I go. It makes we want it even more haha.

The Cinemanow app on PS3 has TDKR streaming for those who downloaded the "7-minute preview" from Flixster. Only this time it doesn't say sneak preview. The cover art is TDKR with Batman standing on the GPD car! I have Cinemanow on my blu ray player, and none of my movies.

I've been checking it left and right. Just checked my BB account with the following message regarding the TDKR Reborn:
"Your digital download pre-order is currently unavailable. We will send you an e-mail when your pre-order is released and ready to download."

Anyone else receive this message?

Bummer. I've never ordered more than 3 at a time from Best Buy. As far as Amazon, they used to be a lot better and I've had my share of horror shows. Just recently, they shipped Sanctuary, Season One (a horribly designed package, no fault of theirs) and all of the discs were loose, one scratched - and that was in a box, with the order shrink-wrapped to a cardboard skid. The replacement was shipped alone, loose in a big bubble wrap "envelope". All but one disc were loose and the same disc was damaged. The rep promised she would include instructions to ship the replacement more securely next time. The replacement arrived in the same big bubble wrap "envelope", and again, all discs were loose.

When I tried last night it showed up as you said, with title and Batman on top of the GCPD car. However when I tried accessing it would give me an error message. My question now is whether the movie is playing in high definition. Would you happen to know?

Wow!!! That's terrible. I'm sorry to hear that. That's why I try not to order online, unless the price is cheaper and only from Amazon because I haven't had a bad experience from them yet. Well, here's to hoping that never happens again.

It gave me an error as well when I tried to "enter" on the screen art, but when I navigated directly down to the "Play from start" button it worked. Might just be because they don't have that preliminary option screen set up or something.

YMMV depending on your device/firmware.

My question is how long before they realize their mistake & pull it, or if they won't bother with the release date so close.

YMMV indeed. It doesn't work on my samsung blu ray player, however it works perfectly fine on my xbox 360. I think I'll wait for the blu ray however, considering that the digital copy is in SD. Also I plan on doing a trilogy watching of all 3. But nice to know that it works.

Never preordered from Best Buy with delivery, but from experience with other online orders (non preorders), their standard shipping is generally 5-7 business days, though sometimes longer. However, based on what I've read of others' experiences, don't hold your breath about receiving it on release day.

If you want to ensure yourself a copy on release day, your best bet would be to preorder and select in-store pickup as your delivery option. That way, you can pop on over to your selected store on 12/4 and they will have a copy reserved for you.
