I had one pre-ordered. Then they came with the standard edition pre-order and I looked at my shelf space. I decided to cancel the steel books and go with the standard. Now I am second guessing my self. The art for the steel does look nice.

But I try not to order through Amazon my movies. I had the Master and Commander steel on preorder since it went up. No estimated day of delivery. I saw Orbit had already started shipping it and canceled my Amazon and Orbit had it shipped 4 hours later. Expecting it later this week.

I've been fascinated by the idea of panic rooms ever since I watched Fincher's film. I think panic rooms are a great idea and every large home should have one. However, they should be designed with emergency exits. Not having an exit other than the main door is a fatal flaw.

I guess I can cancel those Texas Chainsaw Massacre pre-orders from Amazon. I'd rather get 'em in-store. I'd also like to snag Poseidon but will wait for the review as it's only gonna be a 2k DI.

I also need to track down Cobra. Still have my copy sealed from Amazon but saving $7 is always nice.

Yeah I rarely buy new releases anymore unless I know they are pretty limited; otherwise I'll wait it out for an eventual sale.

Yeah you never know how it will go with the Arrow titles. In general, I do the same as well. Held off on Nosferatu and managed to score it for $15 last month and it even came with a slip.

Would love to partake in those Arrow sales, as there are a number of movies on 4K that I want from them. However, I've got a small list of things I want to get before those, which include the following:
  1. 2204 Remasted CD edtion of Cocteau Twins' 1993 album Four-Calendar Café
  2. 2204 Remasted CD edition of Cocteau Twins' 1996 album Milk and Kisses
  3. Belly - King 30th anniversary remastered CD
  4. A new Topo Designs book bag*
  5. Jeff Buckley - Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk/Grace Box Set

*I fell in love with those Topo Design bags after my mom got me one for Christmas about 10 years ago or so. I was trying to find this bag YouTuber Mark Miller uses, as it has a compartment that is just the right size for my batteries and such. Yes, I still carry batteries with me. And YES, I still use a Sony Discman. It's currently this one:

That picture comes from an eBay listing which has it at $513.51. I didn't pay near that much for mine. But then mine isn't NEW or PRISTINE. Discmans have gotten pricey over the years. They've always been that way, but they're even more so now. I'm going to have re-think things if it keeps up. You can get new top of the line ones from reputable hi-end audio companies. I just don't know if I can justify that seeing as I'm on the bus. Plus, I tend to lose things a lot. I want to go with a hi-res DAP as well, but can't seem to connect to one. I've had many over the years. Some of which I've connected with, but I've never fully gotten into it.** I've always gone back to my trusty portable CD players. One thing for sure, though. If we ever have some sort of massive EMP, I'll be sitting pretty while my family won't.

**I was the only I ever knew to fall head over heals for the Zune.

WHAT?!?! I wasn't going to say anything. Especially anything about you being a revolving door when it comes to lovemaking. Or that you've got the golden arches above your bed. No, NEVER!!!

I thought it was just a SoCal thing, especially since the $20/hr thing for fast food workers. But from what I've heard from friends/family out of state they aren't that far behind.

Although one of my favorite specialty burger joints - Mad Madeline's Grill in Old-Town Temecula - was $53 (before tip) for my wife and I last time we went, AND we even split a single meal! That was 6 months ago. Haven't been back since.

Remember the days when that would get you lunch? Sadly that'll barely get a milkshake these days, and even one of the better joints in my area is $8 for a regular.

The vanilla malt milkshake I had down in Cape May was about $8. Def crazy.

I never really got into DAPs so I have nothing against the Zune, but I remember all the flack that it got. Enough so that during the height of the iPod craze, someone made a website called hideapod.com that hides an iPod in a Zune.

The website is gone now, but you can find remnants of it from the following link: Hide your iPod in a gutted Zune case

Barnes and Noble? I haven't thought about them in years. Are they still around? They closed the one near me years ago.

The one by me is still there. I think they opened in the late 90s.

Some good finds on their website, too. I grabbed Pink Floyd: The Division Bell 180g vinyl remaster from them for $43 when the going rate on Amazon and other sites was $150+.

I really need to get my desktop PC looked at. But I don't really know by who and I don't want to pay much. Runs so ungodly slow for a system that I personally built for speed.
