Some good finds on their website, too. I grabbed Pink Floyd: The Division Bell 180g vinyl remaster from them for $43 when the going rate on Amazon and other sites was $150+.
That's a good deal.

Heh…I figured it closed down but thought you took advantage of their sales (at least online) considering we’ve had Criterion 50% off sales for years. Back when things stacked and you still got your member discount. Good times.

I haven't used their 50% off Criterion sale. I really don't have many Criterions. As for the others (e.g. Arrow, etc) I just buy the disc when it's first released. But I don't buy any old movie. Only the cool ones, like Cobra. Now open up your copy and watch it.

'Twas a shade under 70 degrees today and will be between 77 (tomorrow) and 83 (Saturday) over the next handful of days. This is the weather I can handle, but bring on the fall.

I had to hose down my central a/c unit over the weekend. It was so full of cotton and I mean thick. I could have made a sweater. She's been working hard this summer. She deserved a good cleaning. Now I think I might sneak in a little nappy-nap before dinner. *tip-toeing up the stairs*

We've been having a fairly mild summer here as well. Been able to turn off the AC in the evenings and open the windows. Love the cool summer evening air. But yeah, can't wait for fall... and some football!

I just cleaned mine a couple of weeks ago from both my dogs' hair. Some of it peeled off like a blanket.

Thinking about ordering a bunch of protectors for my VSU collection. My house gets dusty, and I'd like to keep them clean and minty fresh looking. Anyone else order from Katana Collectibles and like them?

Just tried the spicy sausage McMuffin from McDonald’s for $3.29. It wasn’t bad. For some reason, the regular McMuffin was $1.40 more lol, so that’s why I went with sausage.

Yes please. As I get older I find I tolerate heat and humidity a lot less. In fact I believe the combination is truly affecting my health now. I just function a lot less efficiently in this soup.

Is that going to be a Criterion release? Well, if I do get it that'll bring my Criterions to 3.

I haven't heard the two I listed. I want to get them, though. Too much too soon right now.

Isn't Cobra an old movie though?

Ugh me too. I've never been great in summer even when I was a kid, but it gets worse and worse the older I get. The heat and humidity this summer have been brutal!! Add hot flashes into the mix and yeah, our electric bills have been high! Last month we had only 6 days under 88* with pretty near 100% humidity every day but 3.

rather strange post office informed delivery email:

I live in an apartment so every one has the same address but different apartment numbers. They actually showed a letter coming to me that was a different apartment number. I occasionally get wrong ones in the mailbox but this talking about Informed Delivery that they purposely sent a picture to my email that wasn't my mail.

Can I complain about that or what can I do?

I'm having delivery issues myself. It's with FedEx though. My package from Target was to be delivered yesterday. As of today the item is still stuck in Concord, NC. It just says on the way and has been that way for almost 24 hours. The last update was at 3:47 pm. I'm not upset that it didn't arrive yesterday. I would just like an update on the bloody thing. I am also wondering what the hell have I done with my life. This isn't just the usual BS. This pops up now because I am turning another year older today. If there is a reason to this life or some sign that I have done ANYTHING with my life I sure do need it.

Same here. I've always been a summer person. Loved the weather, love the music, and I LOVE the movies. 30 years ago, I had no complaints. Now, I can't stand the weather. It's the heat and humidity. I don't mind it as much if I'm not doing much while I'm out in it. But having to be out in it doing shit is not fun. I've always sweated like it was a monsoon, but I can't handle it anymore at my age. I have to have a neck fan with me at all times during the week while commuting or walking. I can't deal with it otherwise. It's even worse trying to listen to music, which I love to do.

I currently have these headphones:

They are not good when you are out in the sweltering heat. But they are a must for good reasons. First off, they can be wired. Secondly, they are noise canceling headphones. And lastly, they will work with headphone amplifiers. I tried the in ear headphones and they're good. As good as they are though I cannot use them. They are not wired and thus will not work with my Sony Discman. They are not really noise canceling. Or at least they're not that good at it. They will not work with headphone amplifiers either. But most importantly, they cannot go in my ears anymore since I got hearing aids. I mean they can, but that sort of defeats the purpose of the hearing aids at that point. Growing old FLAT OUT sucks.

It's likely that the mail delivery person will catch the mistake and not try to deliver it to you. Not sure what there is to complain about.
