I'm going to bravely hope it's a nice version of the remake which I also think is really good.

Aren't the films from the Empire of Screams set licensed from MGM? I remember MGM released Dolls, Robot Jox and the rest. Edge of Sanity, The Initiation of Sarah were also MGM licensed titles.

Yeah, but those weren't 4K. This would be their first MGM UHD since Robocop.

Literally just bought the regular Blu set during the last Prime Day sale since I didn't want to buy the individual 4ks from Shout...so you're welcome.

I would have much rather gotten then in a 4k set.

I suspect they've been sitting on the Child's Play franchise for ages, as it's likely one of the two franchise box sets Fran mentioned a couple of years back, that they decided to upgrade to 4K.

If the Psycho and the Child's Play restorations were done in conjunction with SF (as is possible), perhaps both parties agreed to a certain window of exclusivity: SF get to release the Child's Play films first, while Arrow puts out the Psycho sequels first?

I'm confused. Shout already released Child's Play (and sequels) in 4K how/why would Arrow have this?

Hoping for the same. We got our hint today and maybe leaks could happen before Friday, but it seems like Arrow has tightened the belt a bit.

I own the regular blu-ray set too and will only "upgrade" to Arrow's blu-ray set if it's tempting enough - each film having its own disc/case is a must.

I don't know if this has been discussed but the 3 disc 4K of Hugo was $23 at Best Buy today! Not that price online.

They are, even when a specific studio (Toei) asked for a region lock.

Yeah I'm amazed this hasn't come out in 4K from anyone yet. I'm dying for it and as you said, most of the work is done.

If they do the same one format malarkey they did with Tremors and Psycho, I can't see the point of not just importing the current Shout versions especially if you're region free already. You get Blu-Ray and UHD, plus I can't imagine any new special features of substance as the series has been mined to death.
