Thanks for forcing me to reflect on my addiction

How did you get those four on Criterion.com for $15.98?
And Broadcast News on Amazon for $14.99? The lowest I've seen that on Amazon is for $18.49

About 9 so far, the big bulk is primarily because of the BBS boxset but I also got Cronos and The Thin Red Line earlier this year. Will be in a purchase frenzy at the B&N sale next month . In a side note, doesn anyone know if Criterion has teased a release for Salo? Surprised it hasn't been given a release yet.

Not counting pre-orders, about 24 on Blu-Ray + the John Cassavetes box set and about 4 or 5 others on DVD.

During Criterion's 50% "facebook" sale, when it first went up, they didn't exclude the pre-orders (which were listed at $31.96 each I believe)

I was able to pre-order 17 titles from them at $15.98 during that sale..... good times indeed!

67 with another six in shipment. But I didn't own any until this year until I purchased a region A blu-ray player.

Living Social had a deal where $10 bought a $20 Amazon Gift Card. I believe Broadcast News was $24.99 when I bought it. $24.99 - $20 = $4.99 plus the cost of the gift card.

$14.99.

Beta covered the rest.

That really depends on what type of films you enjoy the most/least.

If you like noir, Sweet Smell of Success, Pale Flower, or Kiss Me Deadly would be great additions. The Archers' films (M. Powell and E. Pressburger) are wonderful as well. (The Red Shoes and Black Narcissus)

My favorite Criterion BD is Last Year at Marienbad. (but beware, LYaM tends to be a love it or hate it experience)

So far i bought all of them this year up till may but i have decided to only get a few a month from here on out. They are just too expensive. Will have to get in on future sales to build my collection.

Since I took a bit of a Blu-ray buying break a while back, but have recently caught the bug again, I've added the 15 Criterions listed below in the last year. I'm trying to play catch-up now, as the last time I was actively buying Blu-rays, I believe there were only about 40 in the Blu-ray catalog. All together I have 30 now, so I essentially doubled my collection. It's so addicting!

Paths of Glory, Repulsion, The Red Shoes, Breathless, Solaris, Pale Flower, Modern Times, Au revoir les enfants, Still Walking, Yojimbo/Sanjuro, Seven Samurai, In the Realm of the Senses, The Darjeeling Limited, Cronos

$h*t!
that's a great average for Criterions! my average just for total blus in general is more than that! (see sig) and a lot of those i've spent less than $10 on. damn good job with that average Slugger

as for me...

8 1/2
Army of Shadows
Blow Out
The Double Life of Veronique
The Seventh Seal

only one i bought in 2010 was Last Year at Marienbad

hoping to pick up a few more during the B&N sale next month (or whenever it is)

Good choice of movie there Beta, sorry for the late, very late reply I am still in Asia and just check things once in a while. Taking things easy today and staying in the hotel mostly as it's a killer hot day here

29 or 30 blurays, and i keep lucking up and finding good deals on used CC DVDs. probably about 10-15 of those. i, like beta and a few others, lucked up and got march-may release at $15ish a piece, which helped get that number there.
