Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a fun, unpretentious b-movie. Fan boys carping about differences from the game are irrelevant.

If the movie had been made by Fred Olen Ray or Jim Wynorski, it would have had a lot more nudity. But John Hughes had the magic of skirting around the sex, pointing that gun right at the middle-class, and raking in the big bucks. The movie was made for "kid me," who was left to imagine what I wasn't shown in the shower scene.

Henry Cavill is a boring actor and a boring screen presence.

He has been, but is that because he's cast in roles calling for that type of performance?
Snyderverse was "emo" by design, and it's my understanding that Geralt (The Witcher) is supposed to be stoic. Cavill seems passionate about his hobbies, so maybe he'll have a high-energy presence in his Warhammer show? Then again, that might be The Witcher redux, depending on how much creative input Amazon exercises. |

I have massive issues with Skyfall. I can’t stand the lines that Q gives to Bond about how “we don’t use gadgets anymore” and “ I can do more from my computer than you can do in the field for a year”, that’s lame. Also Bond is a failure. He fails his psych exam, physical exam, and his shooting exam. The villain accomplishes all his goals. It never feels like Bond is on a mission to me. Just that things are happening around him. Not to mention the fact that the director Sam Mendes has stated multiple times that he was inspired by The Dark Knight. Also Daniel Craig is super boring to me. He doesn’t have that suave personality like Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan. As a movie it’s well made. As a Bond film, it doesn’t work for me at all.

Kane Hodder is a master of self-promotion, but others played Jason just as well.

Groundhog day wasn't that amazing. I'm not claiming it was bad, it touched on some interesting philosophical points, but it just didn't do enough, in favour of romanticizing the crap out of the main character and his love interest. I'm usually okay with misanthropic characters, but Murray's character strangely enough doesn't seem to actually show any growth.
