my only complaint about this movie is such a trivial one I am hesitant to even mention it at all.

Oh, okay. The movie does not have any show times in the states till Nov. 5th at 7:00 PM.

Been rewatching the Craig films these last three days in preparation for this one tomorrow. My ratings are...
Casino Royale - 9/10
Quantum of Solace - 6/10
Skyfall - 8/10

CR really is the best Bond film to date, much thanks to the layered performances of not only Craig but Eva Green and Mads Mikkelsen as well, who imo are the greatest two supporting characters in a Bond film thus far. And those action scenes are hard to top.
Quantum had potential, but it has a lame villain, quick cut shaky-cam hell action and a plot that's too reliant on CR. If viewed as a final act to CR, it works better than as a stand alone Bond adventure.
Skyfall is my second favourite Bond film and Judi Dench really gets to shine for once. The action is memorable, especially the opening and the final showdown, but it does falter a bit in the middle and Silva's endgame and planning really is just a bit too far-fetched and implausible.
So overall I'm a big fan of the Craig era, more so than any other Bond. I rewatched all previous 22 films before watching Skyfall theatrically (not Never Say Never Again), and even though I liked them in my younger days, I just don't find most of them especially compelling any longer and some of them are downright bad. While I'm not eager to revisit any of the old films any time soon again, I can definitely see myself going back to the Craig films over and over. If Spectre really will be Craig's swan song, then I hope it's worthy of the legacy he's left behind. I'll come back tomorrow night with my impressions.

Spectre's gunbarrel sequence mirrors the same from Dr. No:

For those of you who have seen it.....is it worth seeing in IMAX?

IMAX is very expensive around here and regular 2d is much cheaper. I will only splash out when the movie REALLY benefits from IMAX.

Nothing definite, but plenty of reason to wonder if he's coming back for the next one.

I know he is contracted for one more, but he may end up not doing it, especially if recent comments are any indication. I really do hope he'll make a fifth film, but I'm choosing to set my expectations low until anything has been officially announced.

So Craig's shot a different gunbarrel sequence for every Bond movie he's done? I actually don't have a problem with that if it's the new trend. It was a little distracting when I'd see the 1977 Roger Moore in the gunbarrel sequence before the 1985 A View to a Kill where he looked a lot older. Same with 1995 Brosnan in the 2002 Die Another Day.

People are seriously freaking out over 10 rotten reviews on RT when there's 32 fresh reviews? This is TDKR all over again.

The Dark Knight Rises is a disappointment following a great film. Spectre is a bad film following a great film but hey it's all subjective.

Doubt it, this one was shot mostly on 35mm film so you're not going to gain anything in terms of framing. Also the general release version is 4k, so if you find a regular theatre with a big screen, it'll look great (also sound better than IMAX).

How would a regular screening sound better than an IMAX screening?
