This new Rambo set is going to be spectacular...I just know it. Can't wait. Please don't make it come in "stupid" packaging.
Other than new remasters, what else can we expect? I'm still debating whether or not to unload my steelbook set. Honestly, I always thought the Rambo series had fairly satisfying Blu-rays and subsequent 4Ks - there was room for improvement, of course, but I never went "Yuck, these BDs suck". The franchise is controlled by StudioCanal if I'm not mistaken so they're the ones doing the remasters. I wish we had more info on this new set. My double dip will depend entirely on the specs (not the packaging) so if the new collection is barely better than what we already have, it'll be a hard pass.

There is ample information on what this set is going to offer and why it's needed. The guy producing it has posted in this thread many times.

You don't need to "wish we had more info" when it's here in this thread. You just need to read it.

That wasn't an answer to the prequel question.

Haha, thanks. Must have been wishful thinking on my part.

I don’t think he was nasty. I was going to say the same. Cliff delineated this earlier in the thread regarding the issues with the picture on prior versions and how they were approaching the sound for the new set, etc. just search Cliff’s posts.

It should be a big upgrade, especially for fans of the franchise. Though the last film leaves a bit to be desired imho.

I’m so backed up, I realized I hadn’t even watched these yet!

I’ll have to really think about repurchasing when this new set comes out. I looked back and noticed I only paid basically $2 for each of the first movies in 4k, all with slips (Best Buy Black Friday sale had them for $7.99 each and sold each code for $6)!

I bought the First Blood Steel and the Last Blood Steel at Walmart when they released…and nobody bothered putting the rest out, Definitely picking up the 3 film set. I had the same issue with Start Trek the motion Picture and Star Trek 3…How is it nobody thought,”Hmmm…maybe Wrath of Kahn would sell good in a Steel”…
