How is the usage of the Bond Theme music in Spectre? Casino Royale & Quantum of Solace, didn't use it a lot. In Skyfall it was a bit more used.

I saw this at the Empire Imax last night it looked great in 4k Laser projection
and the sound was fab.

The film has only a 5.1 track no Imax 12 channel, 7.1 or Dolby Atmos.

I think it was too late for anything but a 5.1 mix.

Great movie as well.

Went to see this last night. A good bond movie but not a great one. Maybe expectations were a little high after Skyfall but this felt ever so slightly like Bond was treading water.

How would you rank the Craig Bonds? SPECTRE was better than QoS I hope.

I'm going to see it on the night of November 5.

...and I'll probably reserve a second show for the next day.

Fascinating article about the Bond rights and just how much Sony sacrificed to make it happen: http://deadline.com/2015/10/daniel-c...ig-1201528241/

It's no wonder they were bricking it about the budget when they weren't even going to get the lion's share (literally, in Metro's case ) of the loot.

Maybe it's just a kneejerk reaction but I finished this a little over an hour ago and I thought it was brilliant. Probably my second favourite of the Craig films behind Casino Royale.

Sony only made $57m off Skyfall? That's like 5% of the worldwide gross and maybe 20% of the domestic? (I dunno if domestic vs. international factors into their distribution deal.) That's paltry, I'm shocked anyone allowed that deal unless they just severely underestimated the earnings potential or lifespan of the franchise (coming off DAD, I kinda understand).

No way Sony keeps it in that case. Even if they try, they'll have to renegotiate their cut, and MGM/Danjaq aren't going to let them take a bigger piece of the pie if they've been "content" with the amount they've been receiving so far.

I dunno why the article paints WB to be some hit-deprived studio; they've got ALL the DC properties and they're reviving Harry Potter, and on top of that they're getting Kong/Godzilla in a few years, plus now Mad Max is temporarily revived. If anyone needs a franchise, it's Sony or Paramount.

(If Paramount gets Bond, cue the "when are we gonna see Bond vs. Hunt?!)

I can see where they're coming from re: Warners, as the whole point behind going back to the Potterverse is because they're severely franchise deficient. Yes, they've got the DC stuff but the failure of Green Lantern set their thinking back a bit, the co-produced Hobbitses have come to an end, and Mad Max/KK/Godzilla are hardly the sort of billion dollar grossers that we're talking about in reference to the sort of super-charged franchise that they're after, which Bond most definitely is.

Sure, BvS and Suicide Squad should pull in the $$$ but when the likes of Universal are touting three billion dollar franchises alone and Disney have got Lucasfilm and Marvel I can see why Warners want to tap up Bond too, especially after blowing a serious amount of money on stuff like Jupiter Ascending and Pan which themselves were attempts to get new franchises off the ground.

Fair enough about WB's franchises, I always forget Green Lantern and look at their Dark Knight/Man of Steel movies, which all made a pretty penny. It's been a shit year for WB franchise-wise, but they're not gonna be making up those losses with the kinda money Sony's been getting off of Bond. Depends how stingy MGM/Danjaq choose to be when ironing out their new contract. And Universal is just having a great year but I can't see F&F continuing to be a $1B grosser, even if Jurassic and Despicable/Minions are.

Also if Bond does end up at WB, you know the studio's gonna push for a Nolan-directed OO7 film. I like/love Nolan, I love Bond, but I just don't like the idea of them joining together...

To be honest mate, Nolan's got such a hard-on for Bond that I'd LOVE to see him finally make one, some of the stuff he's had in his Batman movies has out-Bonded Bond these last few years, like with Lucius Fox basically being Q to Bale's Batman (Bondman?).

A Nolan-directed Bond movie would be horrific and probably worse than his Batmans.

Just feel like Skyfall was enough of a Nolan Bond, and as much as I like his movies, the most obviously Nolan stuff in Skyfall was the weakest.
