They werent trolling posts sonny - I'm very restrained given how irritating they can be.

so which avf member is cream then? I think the best thing that we BD fans can do is leave the hddvd fans to themselves, get the occasional FUD correction in and wait it out, eventually with no-one to argue they will get board. I find my blood pressure stays lower that way too.

Anyone get there Amazon BOGO Blu-rays yet?

Apparently Amazon are declaring the full value of both discs, not the discounted price.

It appears hit and miss whether you are charged by customs.

The good news is that you can claim back the charges if you contact them showing your reciept/shipping notice etc, as the merchandise value you would have paid is below £18 (one BOGO package, not combined orders).

I got stung £15 last time I ordered from Amazon so I'm sticking to Movietyme from now on.

Just ordered Polar Express with a £1 coupon which brought it down to £10.99.

With the exchange rate I've found it cheaper to order one movie at a time from Amazon, which includes around $6 postage.

For example, Masters of Horror was around £12.80 delivered, Simpsons is £14.90 delivered.

Plus they're counted towards Nielson, which is nice.

If the Blu-ray/merchandise cost is below £18, you won't pay customs, even if the postage puts you over £18.

However if your Blu-ray/mechandise total is £18.01 or above, i.e. two Blu-rays in one order, you'll be charged duty on the merchandise AND postage.

I bought eight BOGO BDs from Amazon.com, and they arrived today. I didn't get a VAT bill though; they seem to have been shipped from Germany instead of the US. So I got Pirates I & 2, Bridge to Terabithia, Finding Neverland, Prestige, Deja Vu, Apocalypto and the Haunted Mansion for £60 delivered and no tax or duty. Although I'm officially format agnostic these days, I think that's the way to go!

Nick

Is there a time limit on those coupons? I still have a couple from a few weeks back.

I ordered Cars and POTC - AWE, i don't think either are out till Dec so a long wait on them..... Still, i have on average 1 a week slowly rolling in in that fashion... the 2 bogo were Amazon US the majority of the others are from Movietyme for inports and Still Asda Entertainment for all UK Releases....... I Missed the Amazon BOGO, but i ordered them, complained that i had no discount and they come up trumps and credited me straight away.... A blinkin good effort for two top titles imo
