It's Fox. They're just bad when it comes to tv shows on blu-ray.

For Legion that was a pretty straightforward episode. Off to a good start.

Episode 1 in season three is just as confusing as every episode in season two. Season one was great. But they got so trippy you never know what’s happening! Nobody who hasn’t been watching can just start watching. They’d be even more confused. That’s why the series failed. It’s too confusing!

Yeah, it wasn't confusing... just pretentious as hell. Even more pretentious than all of s2, and it's only been 49 minutes lol

I'll keep watching out of respect for how great s1 was, but I'm almost glad here's only 7 episodes left in the series now...

No, not confusing if you've been watching the series up until now. Needlessly weird AF? Check. What else is new though right. Stretch 15 minutes of plot into 49 minutes. Check.

I'm only watching this for the cinematography, and because my son loves it for some reason. He wants to go to film school, maybe that's why. That's what growing up with a dad that has a home theater has wrought.

Does anyone think after this episode it will turn out that all along Melanie and Oliver have been the older selves of Syd and David?

This show feels like a Terry Gilliam fever dream and I absolutely love it!

No.

But I do wonder why we haven't seen them ( in this timeline ) since "Chapter 18" ( S2E10 ).

I always wondered if Oliver and Melanie were like
[Show spoiler]Lenny, just being used as a vessel by Farouk and as far as we've seen he's only given Lenny her body back via David's sister. It all just seemed like a ploy to turn Syd against David.

Over the weekend I turned off The Bridge on the River Kwai because Aubrey Plaza was a guest on the Seth Meyers show and I assumed the timing of the appearance meant she was there for Legion. I thought they might even have a clip from the premiere.

But it turned out she was there to promote Child's Play and didn't say one word about Legion at all. Ay caramba!

I pretty much tapped out after the first few episodes of this season (mainly due to being busy). I did catch a bit of the finale and it seems fitting.

Not quite as pretentious as I was expecting, came off a little preachy though... Except for the stuff with Switch, pretentious af.

[Show spoiler]So basically they changed time and erased the whole show, almost feel that way personally about s2 and 3.
I'll miss it because of how good it could've been after season 1, but I'm almost glad it's over. It was nice that it finished and didn't just drag on and get worse though.

Ya not a fan of seasons 2 and 3. Not just the story getting shoved out of the way of the visual art but also how they twisted David/Syd's relationship and how handled Farouk. I figured ok maybe Syd would snap out of Farouk's influence, never happened. I figured ok after her rebirth/rechildhood surely she would see things more clearly and maybe end the show without her misplaced hate, nope the best we could hope for was cold "be better" bs coming from the girl who spent half the season trying to kill him and basically caused the whole end of the world shit to begin with. Perhaps Farouk could have ended where it did reasonably had they spent the season building to his growth. Anything kinda goodish he did was under the lens of manipulating them to hunt David and can't be seen as growth. But ya just kinda ended up a frustrating mess with some cool visuals.
