So, I pre-ordered this item from Target.com for a free $5 gift card, and if you haven't done any pre-ordering at Target.com, they way they handle pre-orders is very strange; they actually email you to approve the "delay" of the movie/gift card when there is no release date yet. If you don't approve the "delay", your item would get cancelled. It seems that they would actually put a delivery date for the gift card even when there is no known release date for the movie. It is a big hassle to see such email and then log back to Target.com to approve it. However, I did not receive any email to approve the delay of the gift card, but this morning I got a email saying the gift card is cancelled. I called Target.com and they told me to call back after the item ships to claim the $5 gift card.

That a film that is one the 4th and finale film in a franchise I've loved, and that is based in on books I very much like -- that it's one of my 13 most anticipated films coming in the next 2-8 months "speaks for itself" how?

Hey if you love Hunger Games then awesome for you. Having such huge anticipation for it but not having seen the best film of the summer does point to what your tastes are though. Some people love a good steak. Others crave McDonalds. To each their own.

The films that I'm most looking forward to this summer, though I hardly ever get out to the theater, are Amy, Mistress America, Steve Jobs, and Everest (though those last two come out in Sept). |

You stated you haven't seen a huge summer blockbuster that's making money hand over fist. You stated you are highly anticipating seeing a (if it follows the 3 previous) dull teen drama based on a simply written young adult novel. That explains exactly why you have chosen to be one of the few to not see Jurassic World. It's not important to you. Hunger Games is much more so. Now having the choice to not eat at an establishment for over two and a half decades makes your choice choice in anticipation even more telling. In the end, it was nothing more than a poke-in-the-ribs joke. Nothing wrong with you enjoying what you enjoy. That's your choice to do so. You are missing out on a fantastic time at the movies though. Last edited by Dave the Minion; 07-12-2015 at 07:26 AM. |

Hunger Games, OTOH, has been really interesting and was an actually pretty well-written series by Collins. Is she T.S. Eliot? No. But she wasn't writing to that audience. And, AFAIC, it's been anything but dull. And knowing how it ends, I can't wait to see what they do with the final movie. It should be totally NUTS! Also, what difference does it make that JW has made a ton of money? So did Avatar. And it was unwatchable. A film making lots of money doesn't mean squat as far as quality is concerned. And trust me, as much as I'm looking forward to HG:Mockingjay 2, I'm far more interested in Carol, Knight of Cups, Neon Demon, and The Assassin. So, you can say I'm only fascinated by "simple teenage" stories or something. But have you seen the trailers for any of those four films? If not, check them out. Well, there is no trailer yet for Neon Demon. But otherwise. All of that being said, I will definitely see JW when it comes out on HBO, or whatever. |

Again, you are free to enjoy what you enjoy. I hope Hunger Games is the fantastic film you believe it will be. I know it will be sub-par for my taste and enjoyment and I'll have no use for the thread on here discussing it.

I heard of a guy named Bill Gates that created one of the most successful companies of all time, and is the world's wealthiest man, and dedicates his life to fixing the worlds largest problems, such as AIDS, foreign aid, Polio, Energy, Vaccines, Philanthropy and Agriculture to name just a few. Does he have to be dead to have his story told? Can someone link me to the "Steve Jobs" forum discussion if there's one. Can't find it, but want to read what peeps are saying |

I'll be getting the 3D blu-ray but I'm not sure if I wanna pick up the $80 T-rex/I-rex gift set since I don't know how small it's going to be. I wouldn't wanna spend $80s and get a mini statue like the Ghostbusters/Ghostbusters II Limited Edition Gift Set. I saw so many sad youtube unboxing videos with people that said they thought it was going to be much bigger.
Does anyone know how big the T-rex/I-rex gift set statue is going to be? |
