So I always get confused when anywhere buzzes in with principal photography times. The article says 7 month shoot but says it's been shooting in Oklahoma since April. That's not 7 months and wasn't Oklahoma the only place they shot? so there wouldn't be anywhere else they shot that wasn't mentioned.

It reminds me how Django Unchained shot for a much shorter time than Kill Bill (half the time, 6 or 7 months) but many outlets reported Django Unchained was his longest shoot which leads me to believe the year and a half they spent shooting Kill Bill they didn't have as many working days and plenty more days off/vacations than when Django was shooting... so what the hell? how exactly does this information get reported the way it does?

There is only one article that claims filming has wrapped. It is based on a few bit player actors on Twitter saying that they're finished filming. Indeed, there may well be another leg of production to go, that maybe won't be on location in Oklahoma, but will still carry on elsewhere. From everything I've heard, this is supposed to shoot until at least early to mid-November. Originally, they said mid-to late November, but they also were supposed to start filming in May. They started a little early, in late April, so they MAY finish a couple weeks earlier. In any case, I don't believe it has wrapped completely until there is a more official announcement. When "The Irishman" wrapped after its six and a half month shoot, Scorsese himself issued a press release that it had wrapped.

Thanks for the heads up. Wasn't quite sure about that site. Posted it because you usually don't need inside sources when it comes to info about a film finishing shooting.

The world of reel article is adapted from a Tulsa Times (Oklahoma) newspaper article that said that filming in that particular Oklahoma town had finished and a couple of bit player actors said that THEY had wrapped on filming.

The production itself overall is likely just moving on to another location.

All credible sources have said it will film until at least November. It's a massive production.

looks like they have officially wraped up production.

IMDB states it clearly, KOTFM is now in post-production.

Apple has given this a tentative release date now, of October 14, 2022.

I wonder if that will be long enough for Scorsese/Schoonmaker, who generally take a notoriously long time in post production. Usually a year or more.

In any case, we will hopefully be seeing this by next Fall.
