That's a big problem. The 5.1 track on the 2nd one is absolutely mucked up, and sends most of the discrete stereo info into the center channel instead. The DTS 2.0 tracks were all fine. Hopefully they fixed it...

Still might import the French release anyway as it seems Lionsgate is just using their old, non-remastered Blus minus a lot of extras (which the Studio Canal European releases did have).

Any chance the included Blu-rays are in fact remastered (like the German/Canadian sets from years back)? I see the audio listed for First Blood's Blu-ray is DTS-HD MA instead of the original U.S. release at DTS-HD HR 5.1. Probably meaningless but figured I'd point that out.

Really excited for these. This format has proved itself to be pure magic for stuff from this era and these should be heroin for the eyes .

I really hate the remixes for these. The Part II remix is particularly terrible.

They all had 70MM mixes. How much "remixing" is the actual original mix?

All I know is the remix on Part II sounds weak as hell compared to the 2.0 track.

Honestly I can't understand the lack of it. Is it different distributor or some such?

I mean in I believe most peoples eyes the two best are 1 and 4. And in my personal opinion I'd put 4 above 1 in terms of enjoyment, times rewatched (and even though First Blood has a 26 year head start, 4 still has more viewings in my 49 years...

Lol no they didn't First blood was 4 track only.
2 had a 70mm blow up and that was baby boom, and TAP certified.
3 didn't either that was back to 4 track, and I cannot find reference anywhere of 70mm prints.
