Albums have singles normally, or music videos

I can confirm that - a copy has just landed through the letterbox from HMV

Only difference between the slipcover and the proper cover underneath is that the 40th anniversary bit is only on the slipcover. All ready to be dropped as required.

It also has a sticker for a Thorpe Park 2 for 1 offer welded to it.

Mine has just arrived from Amazon and includes the slip cover! I meant to cancel the Amazon pre-order and forgot all about it as I have it on order with other stuff from HMV. It does have a cr@ppy promo sticker for 2 for 1 at Thorpe Park on the slip cover but it came off fairly easy, hope they aren't going start advertising on bloody slip covers!

Just had a quick look at the BD - never owned it on anything other than an extras-less DVD before, so this is a bit of a novelty. No prizes for guessing what I'll be sitting down and watching in 30 days.

1) It appears to be set in autumn as opposed to early June. Very good news.

2) It could well be an exact copy of the 35th release in every detail. The credits at the start are all for Anchor Bay, the menu screen says 35th Anniversary, and the clincher would probably be if anyone can confirm that the very first copyright warning on the original 35th release has a typo - "perfomance".

£4.99 extremely well spent.

Found this at my local Sainsburys for a seven pound asking price. Was pleased to find it as my Sainsburys only has a very small blu-ray section.

My local Tesco has a small section in the physical media department for “catch up on the previous films before the latest instalment” thing, and I suspect Halloween might be on the shelves. This seems to be a cheap, widely distributed release - a far cry from all the previous editions! I’ll be definitely picking this one up.

Edit: Nope, Tesco don’t have it, which is a crying shame. I’ll have to pick it up at Fopp later on.

Is there any chance of H6 Producers Cut coming to the UK any time?

I think it’s a Lionsgate/Miramax title, so it’s not going to be licensed out and Lionsgate are almost certainly not going to release it themselves, unless they can put together a boxset, which ain’t happening with 2 and 3 being owned by a different company, the remake owned by Paramount and the sequel to the remake owned by EiV, with the upcoming film a Universal-distributed release. The producer’s cut isn’t even on DVD here, so I think the best chance of getting it is to import.

Damn. I've been looking into a multi region blu ray player and I might have to take the plunge at some point then.

Who reads album reviews?

Noted today that my local HMV is selling "Halloween" Blu-ray for £4.99 if purchased with another item. Had lots of copies too.

So is this new reissue of the UK disc confirmed to have the incorrect mono as well?

well it's the same disc as last 35th Anniversary release
so I would say it's still the downmix rather than the original mono
UHD packaging says downmix too for mono track

It's an exact clone of the old disc. Despite "HA40WEEN" being on the slipcover, it has "Halloween 35th Anniversary" text next to the tile picture when you put it in your blu-ray player and an Anchor Bay logo despite now being a Lionsgate release. So yeah, the mono option will be a downmix of the remixed track.

Thanks, figured as much. Just thought there was an off chance it could be from the box set - I don't own that so I can't remember how the blu-ray menu looks (if it states 35th anniv).

I was going to go into HMV end of the week to pick up another blu ray, so I'll see if my local one has this offer. Thanks. Thought it was an online only offer.

I think there might be a Spanish release which has 35th anniversary PQ with an actual original mono track. Can anyone confirm this?

It was the same in my local HMV (Westfield London).
