For those interested in this sort of thing, Bandai recently released Gamera 1995 as part of their Movie Monster Series line of 6" scale vinyl figures.

The Cereal Box Edition -- it literally is the same size and quite a bit heavier than a large Cereal Box about 12x8x3 inch.
It's almost identical to the Criterion Bergman Boxset in size, but with a lot fewer discs

God no. I would prefer a normal Arrow Video LE box set with an outer box & regular cases inside. I hated the packaging of the Godzilla set & put them in normal cases soon as I could.

Well I think it is fitting to have Kaiju collections be huge. It makes them feel as gigantic. This is the first time all of these movies are getting released in one package, so the first collection needs to feel extra special just like the Showa Godzilla set was.

The Showa collection didn't feel extra special. The packaging was cumbersome & not easy to display on a shelf with my other giant monster films. Regular cases with custom artwork was the way to go for that set. So I (& from the looks of it others are too) am hoping Arrow sticks to the norm with this set.

I disagree and I had no issue displaying it. It's on top of my shelves with my Capaldi and Smith Doctor Who sets and it looks glorious on top of everything.

Now what would look weird is NOT having a second Godzilla collection in the same styled packaging.

I don't like oddly-sized sets that hog precious shelf space, but now that we have one for Godzilla, I'd be cool with Gamera matching it.

Texas Frightmare Weekend posted a live stream on their Twitter talking with some folks from Arrow. They showed a in-hand copy of the box and described it as cereal box sized like their HGL set. They also showed final art for the books and discs and said full specs will be up soon. It looks great. Also confirmed all dubs will be included.

Sorry for this crappy little photo, it's all I can get right now.

They said full specs would be soon, but all of the bonus features from previous DVDs will be included and all of the dubs will be included, with emphasis on the "all".

I got this Bandai Gamera, along with Godzilla & Ghidorah when I was in Japan a few years back. I treasure them!

Every time I see a company say they have something to please Toku fans I end up being disappointed in the long run because nothing comes out of it. Kraken Releasing made a similar comment, as did Discotek, and everything from them has been crickets on the Toku side of things.

Discs seem to be;
Disc 1- Gamera (and probably Gammera)
Disc 2- Barugon/Gyaos
Disc 3- Viras/Guiron
Disc 4- Jiger/Zigra/Super Monster
Disc 5- Guardian of the Universe
Disc 6- Attack of Legion
Disc 7- Revenge of Iris
Disc 8- The Brave

The Heisei films having 4K scans would explain why they get a disc to themselves. Hopefully The Brave will be loaded with extras for the whole franchise.
