I remember. Or wasn't about to even attempt telling the audience what it was.

Why does every Tarantino thread turn into ranking his movies?

I can see why you (and so many others) love Dogs so much. Great script, great performances and it was just unlike anything else that was out at the time.

For me, Pulp was a revelation. You could really see Tarantino spread his wings here and really breathe as a filmmaker. The script was riveting, the dialogue was entirely original, and the casting was near perfect with memorable characters who you fell in love with. I was so enamored with the film when I first saw it (I saw it several times in theaters), I remember importing the laser disc from Europe (France if I recall).

I had the movie (in great quality) many months before it was released in the US and I probably watched it 30 times.

If I had to rate his films in order, for me it would be:

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
5. Jackie Brown
6. Kill Bill
7. Django Unchained
8. Kill Bill 2
9. Death Proof
10. Hateful Eight (Such a dark, ugly and unoriginal film imo. I remember when I first saw it, I felt like the dialogue was done by a bad Tarantino impersonator.

I want Kill Bill 4K the most (WBA, theatrical or both). But ultimately I want all Tarantino movies in 4K.

Yeah and it makes me sick how history books and classes for years have been telling us WWII ended an entire year after the events of Basterds which is in fact how the war ended.

If it turns out that Arrow is only allowed to do a blu special edition and Uni is doing a full blown UHD I do not care I will buy multiple versions as this is my fav QT... well it's sorta tied with Hollywood

Also, Tarantino buys blu-rays on the reg. He has hundreds most likely thousands.

So when is this coming out so I can finally start picking up Tarantino on 4K? It’s ironic that the biggest director today, who’s also the biggest proponent of physical film, is pretty much absent on the best format ever for movies and physical film. Any Tarantino 4K release is Day One for me.

Tarantino still owns and uses tapes. If he still does that, he definitely still does Blu. He has the same philosophy I have: get and watch the movies you love by any means necessary. If we have to settle for 2K Blu, we do. Tapes, we’ll settle for a tape. Pirating, we do that too. Aside from making movies where people kill each other the whole time, he’s a pretty normal and awesome guy.

QT loves film, everything else is secondary, as it should be to him. Great interview here about his theater.

Considering that ONCE UPON A TIME…IN HOLLYWOOD just laid some new beats over INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS’ exact same melody, Tarantino may be right to say he’s said everything he has to say as a filmmaker: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...142805682.html

I sure hope he doesn't stop here. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is my favorite Tarantino now.
