I'd rather wait to see how Part 2 pans out. I thought Part 1 was "good", but I feel the MI formula is stale (especially car chase scenes) and some characters didn't do too much in this one. I know we need to see Part 2 to fully understand Dead Reckoning, but Fallout is a great ending to the series for me (of which I only watch 1, 4-6) if it doesn't work out.

I'm seeing that a couple of the pics of the UK steelbook have those annoying age-rating circles on the front cover. I know that's standard for some dumb reason on normal UK releases, but I thought they didn't typically blot the fronts of steels?

They legally have to be on the front cover irrespective of how much metal content the casing has. But 99 times out of 100 they’re either printed on the wraparound j-card or are wee stickers that you can remove, and so aren’t on the steenbok itself.

No. Paramount movies aren't part of "Movies Anywhere", which allows you to link accounts like that.

Are you implying the disc audio will be in a different league as opposed to lossy DD+ Atmos @768 Kbps? People who make such assumptions are delusional IMO.

Folks cribbed about the audio on streaming for Across the Spider-verse and Rise of the Beasts assuming the disc will be way superior but sadly they aren't. The perceived sound quality is almost identical.

I am sure we all raved the 384 Kbps DD tracks on DVD back in those days lol.

Its not Streaming version exactly. Its kaleidescape version of movie which is over 100GB file size for movie itself. User will download the file to local server and play it. Not sure how much of this review applies to Disc version though.

The other main difference will be HDR10 on KScape and DV on disc but KScape will likely have higher video bit rates. Whether that makes any difference is down to the individual and the display equipment.

It's not a disc, its a digital download of the movie file, usually equivalent or very comparable to the file that gets put onto discs.

I couldnt wait until the 4K Disc, Bought on Apple 4k Today,
Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos…
Picture is Very close to being perfect, Contrast, HDR and Colour Grading are spot on, Black level also is Superb.
Sound playing back in standard 7.1 with Dolby Atmos virtual engaged on my Denon x6700 Sounds Great, especially for a stream.
The Disc will be reference, Picture is more like Top Gun Maverick than the Gritty looking Fallout, it still has a decent texture to it considering it was shot on Digital.
Very Happy
The Film is great, though not quite Fallout great��
