Does anyone know if that light might be user-replaceable? Who wants to ship a subwoofer across the country for a bulb?
Exact same thing happened to mine. Two weeks after buying it (B stock from World Wide Stereo), the light went off and never came back on. I called WWS about it. Because it happened within 30 days of purchase, they offered me a $35 refund. With that in mind, I ended up paying $115 for the sub. As long as it sounds great (and it does), who needs the light?

Can't wait to see the new RC-series, Energy is apparently planning to add alot of the older veritas technology in those, which they noticebaly did with the connaisseurs, I heard that from the Energy rep. back in march at the Sound and picture show held in Montreal.

I heard the CB-20 and CF-30/CF-50 and wow I would say a tiny bit brigter than te old ones but extremely well balanced and IMHO sound way more lifelike than Polk or Klipsch .

Thoughts on the CB 10's... I'm looking for some rear surrounds for a 5.1 setup, matching with my Mirage 550's and c150 center. These look like they would throw out some decent sound.

Yeah, my local guy said he they would be re-designing the RC-series because the Vertias has been taken off the market and they are doing some product consolidating. As you can see the C series was revamped for the CF series which uses technology from the RC series, so I would not be surprised if the new "RC-70" pushed closer to the $1500 range like the old Vertias speakers priced out at. And the RC series is a tough brighter then the C series are, so I am not surprised by the sound of the CF series. Plus everyone has told me that they do sound a little brighter. But with the explosion of growth in the HT market, speakers that have the impact for HT sell better.

I originally shopped for the CF-50s but the wife, shot me down, it was the CF-50s and the CC-10 for $900. She was cool with the C-300s and C-C100 for $370 tho.

I don't think there are many on there that have the CF/CC/CB series speakers yet. If you read the review above for the CB20 I think you will find the CB10 should be very similar to that.

Here is a review for the CF-70s I will post too. Hmm. Bright was a word that was used to often for my tastes... I would still like to hear them myself tho.

Oh well that guy just confirmed what I was saying about the brightness.

I'd say give them a great listening at high volume and you'll see the balance of lower frequencies mids and highs as opposed to Polk where they are noticebly leaning more towards higher frequencies.

They still have the Energy signature sound persay. Not only Connaisseur inherit some of the RC but also some of the Veritas design as pointed out by rep, Very noticable in the look i would say.

I think they're well worth listening to.
If you can Compare with polk when listening to music and you'll see what I'm talking about but as you mentionned alot of the market is in home theater. All in all I think it's a good performer all around. I Love my C-500 though.

Awesome just came across this Energy Speakers thread, well I've had them for a while now specially the C8's & I just love them, the sound is so crisp, clean & so clear
When I got my Energy Veritas Center Speaker I could not believe the difference it made to my system, simply cannot fault this brand at all & if I had extra cash I would buy Energy again!

Nice to hear from a fellow Aussie with an Energy setup. Tell me SSLAYERR how is that Pnansonic TV. I can get my hands on a TH42PZ85 non THX for a good price. What are your thaughts on it since you own the PZ850 THX 50 inch version?

Wow, I'm gald to have found this thread. I love Energy speakers. I only wish I could afford higher end ones. C series are great though for the buck, for music I actually like them better than the new CFs or Cbs.

Yes as we mentioned on this thread I would have to agreee with your statement for music I think the previous Connaisseurs are better but alot of the market is in home theater so Energy went a tiny bit brighter but yet very well balance across the whole range of frequencies and all in all it's a good performer and still perform better that klipsch RF-10 IMHO for the same price and sound way more lifelike than Polk Audio because of the better balance between highs and lows it reaches the lows with great punch where polk seems to be lacking a bit.

I Think it's a good all around performer.

Ya man, I agree. They're still better overall than the equal priced Polks or Klipcsh imo, and the towers have much higher power handling than c-series which would probably benefit for bi-amping.

I don't know anyone who has actually bi-amped some CFs though.

You know when I purchased my C8 all those years ago I will never forget the beautiful sound that was coming out of those speakers, sheer brilliance!
Went hunting to so many shops & heard so many speakers but none impressed me the way Energy did & as I said before If I ever get new speakers they will also be ENERGY
