There is absolutely no need to apologize for your interest in any title to anyone ever. No judgment here, but there are plenty of titles that are worth my effort to research...after my nap.

Also the money they make on premier isn't money they have to share with the theaters which has to be a nice bargaining chip for the future (theaters cant afford to boycott disney + premier being worth x dollars is very good leverage for how much theaters are worth to disney).

Hopefully Disney releases the numbers for Premier on BW for its second week. Those will show how big the second week drop will be and/or hold.

Random and frantic. I have a list of 200 films I work through. I add films I read about and check every few months for potential release dates. As I add films to the yearly list, I delete and then replace that list of 200.

Theater prices are kind of absurd where I am. it would cost 18 dollars a person to see black widow in 3d. the movie starts in a couple of hours and literally no one has bought a ticket yet lol. It feels like we are at the point where businesses are struggling so they raise prices and lose the few customers they have left. Honestly I figured prices would go down once they filled less then 5% of a theater on average but instead they did the reverse and a lot are not even opening for matinee shows.

Vilya, forgot to mention another problem with Object Based Content. It would no longer be a shared experience so it’s possible more people would watch on a laptop or tablet instead of the tv.

Last 3 are subject to late 2021 release but cut off point is January 2022 incase they spill over.

The Lodge is one of my favorite movies of the last few years. I need to pick that one up myself.

I have that Movie in my Digital Collection, and can watch it in Amazon Prime, MA, or Vudu. Very good thriller, I'll have to watch it again!

There is absolutely NOTHING, nothing at all, that OBB can offer to make me forego viewing a movie on my 85" TV in favor of a 10"-17" tablet/laptop screen.

Welcome back.

I am a member of The Lodge also owning both the blu-ray and the digital copy. My digital collection is closing in on 1,000 titles; did you ever see that happening?

1150 in my itunes.

Says I can watch non stop for 90 days.

I also have around the same amount in Vudu but it's mostly all the same stuff for a couple of reasons. (MA linking accounts and older codes could be redeemed in both iTunes and Vudu.)

I"m going to need Fiber internet before I can do much of anything with the online stuff... My current internet makes them worse than they are.

Now when I look into TV shows I tunes says I have 7 because I have 7 series most of which are complete and so they suggest I have a little over 5 hours worth of content there which is clearly a bug as there's 70 or so hours in Game of Thrones alone.

The industry seems to view it as half way house between interactive content and traditional media with no input required by the viewer beyond entering details to shape your profile. What would films become if we can’t all discuss the same experience? How will it affect Blu-ray, cinema or streaming services? All big questions.

Blu-ray.com says that I can watch my blu-rays (including 4K discs) for 456 days, 20 hours, and 16 minutes non-stop. My DVD collection adds another 414 days, 16 hours, and 4 minutes of non-stop viewing. Blu-ray.com puts my digital collection at just 80 days, though.

Naturally, there's some duplication of titles across these three formats and it does not include titles that I have on other formats. It's safe to say that many of us here have no shortage of stuff to watch.

I discuss the same film watching experiences exactly as I always have: by talking about a movie after I and my family or friends have all seen it.

I do not want to discuss a movie while I am actively watching it; talking during a movie is strictly verboten. Whether we see a movie together or separately, we discuss it afterwards, never while it is playing.

I do not think it will have a significant impact on anything; it is not all that unlike what we already get with discs that offer alternate cuts and extra features...extra features that often go unwatched. Most people just want to watch the movie, not make one themselves.

Simon McQuoid's cinematic reboot of the Mortal Kombat franchise isn't as great as MK Legends: Scorpion's Revenge (which also debuted back in April), but it's decent stuff considering the source material and low budget. Its scattershot story obviously attempts to set up a handful of sequels and spin-offs -- perhaps too many for it to stand on its own too feet -- but the groundwork has been laid and, if nothing else, it'll do until something better arrives. Warner Bros.' 4K combo pack is the better of the two primary home video options, offering a solid A/V presentation bolstered by great HDR enhancement and a great (but not perfect) Dolby Atmos track that reigns in most of the chaos. Hell, even the extras are pretty good. All told, it's a well-rounded package that fans will enjoy and comes Recommended.

Better A/V quality doesn't help much if you don't like the movie to begin with.

Every movie that I dislike has its fans, but knowing that obvious fact does nothing to change how I feel about those movies.
