Just got mine in and it didn’t have a digital code with it. Weird lol. Not a huge deal for me but first time that’s happened.

Since the UHD is a 2D presentation, presenting it in its original aspect ratio is a no-brainer. If someone prefers the open matte version in general because they want to see more of the sets then it is a case of just wanting to see more as opposed to wanting to see the original compositions as intended by the filmmakers.
I definitely agree.
The 3D Open-Matte presentation looks phenomenal in 3D, and you REALLY get that sense of immersion.

Watching It in 2D, however, looks "weird", like it is a total different movie, for me.

Sometimes, DVD copies of films have a handful of extras on them, so it might be worthwhile to find out what extras were on it for the people who want to finally complete their collection.
Even if they included a DVD with the 3D Blu-Ray, it would've only been the movie remastered with a Digital Copy.
No special features of any kind would've been made available, outside the Blu-Ray discs.

And I'm sure some folks will get it and come here and moan about how bad it is. Once I have it and if I like it, I will check this thread a whole lot less.

I'm mostly curious as to when the Movies Unlimited discs arrive in people's hands.
I already saw the leaked UHD, and I really like it.
Did also a comparison with the 2012 Blu-Ray, and the 4K it's definitely much better, for color and details.

Whether it's an old master or not, I don't care.
Part of the reason why I upgraded to 4K was to have the best presentation possible of my favorite movies.

If someone prefers the old 1999 DVD or the 2012 Blu-Ray, that's his/her preference.
But that shouldn't be an excuse to criticize those who like the new 4K transfer.

It was the same typical blue box that everyone got. And, from what I can recall, no. Brazil didn't get it either. I was experienced with buying their NTSC releases and wouldn't have bothered trying to find someplace in Mexico.

Any news regarding the UK set? Does it include a remastered blu-ray or the 2012 disc?

R1 / North American 3-Disc is missing the HBO featurette, the Fox (network) special "Titanic: Breaking New Ground", the ShoWest teaser, and I think a few other things.

I used to have it, and I do still have a copy of the UK 4-disc.

I just saw a 3-disc on eBay that looked Canadian (Bilingual packaging) but it has the Breaking New Ground special on it.

I wish I was in whatever parallel Earth some of you live in where Best Buy and Wal-Mart put stuff on the shelf early. I ordered 2 of these from Bullmoose hoping to get at least one decent slip and struck out, so that means it's a Tuesday scavenger hunt for me and I'll be lucky if any stores actually put it on the shelf.

For those of you who have seen Titanic in 3D in 2012 and 2023, which version do you prefer?

Embarassing.
To be fair I feel the latter is the one who provoked the other poster. The other, newer poster was just getting frustrated with it all. He was antagonized. His opinion might have not been the popular opinion with some posters but he was being civil. Just frustrated.

This is precisely why he’s on my ignore list. I have zero issue with civil discussion or friendly disagreements. But he in particular can’t let anything go once you dissent from him. He’ll badger your every post for page after page and even take his bullying into other threads when he decides he doesn’t like you. TBH, that kind of behavior shouldn’t warrant a temporary but a permanent ban. It’s likely the newer member didn’t realize that arguing heatedly for several pages would earn him a ban as well. This is what happens when people try and engage with him, and it’s why I don’t bother anymore.

Precisely, but let's not forget that he was emboldened by other members who kept liking his posts. I guess it doesn't count as bullying when one is simply cheering for the bully smh.
