As long as you can post the word, "slipcover," I don't see why not.

I just wanted to bring up my side of things, and I know I'm a relative newbie to this thread. First of all, blu_sharpy thank you for the thread and the relentless work you put into it. It's a shit ton of work to do, and my sincerity is real. Because of this thread, my BD collection is expanded exponentially, especially because of slipcovers and the regulars who post here. I go out weekly hunting for BDs with slips even when I don't care about the movie but because the slip is just awesome and/or rare. I've even been nicknamed "Crazy Mike" because I always end up talking about BDs and/or slipcovers when out with friends".

This thread has built some fantastic friendships with members here. But since last night, it feels like people have chosen sides on a battlefield. I agree 100% that it's extremely difficult to maintain a database for slipcovers when there are three submission in five pages (50 posts) in only a few hours. But at the same time, when you mentioned last night about locking this and telling everyone to piss off, it's as if you threw a rock in the pond and the school of fish scattered: Please keep in mind this thread is probably the most active and most viewed on blu-ray.com. Changing things abruptly is huge.

A thought I came up with earlier is to have your thread possible changed to something along the lines of "The Slipcover Database" or master list, etc. DJ Blend put a lot of effort last night creating a new thread primarily because you said you were shutting things down. And not to let him do all of that work in vein, he could have the slipcover discussion thread. This way you have your database list with contributions and DJs thread could be the discussion/OT aspect.

The other aspect, which is entirely your decision, is to leave things the way they were and have a message on the front page stating all entries/submissions for the list need to be sent to members x/y/z and you can have some of us help you out and keep things in top shape.

The way things are at the moment, I feel it's a clusterF and the community that I felt we had seems lost.

P.S. Slipcover.

What did DJ Blend do exactly? Copy all of my posts and pictures! It takes about 5 minutes to do a direct copy and paste so **** knows why its taken him so long. Fair play for taking initiative but seriously, is he really the guy for the job? Not being nasty but because of the way hes conducted himself, hes made more enemies than friends and it wont be long before he's banned again for one reason or another.

You worked unnecessarily. I have a back-up right here on my computer.

I only brought him up as he created the alternate thread last night. Because I'm relatively new, I don't know DJ or anything he's done in the past. All of my postings and contributions here have been while he was banned, for what reason I have no idea why.

I hope your understand my point of view here as well, as I do agree with and see your frustration. I actually discussed this with a friend in real life (who doesn't post here) because he's aware that I post here daily. He is even a slipnut now because of this thread and me rubbing off on him. It's just that such a drastic change to the most popular and viewed thread on blu-ray.com may not be the best thing.

I get your point. Look lets get this straight, I'm sticking around and once the MOD's get wind of things, DJ's thread will either get deleted or merged here because its not really any use. Anywho, lets move on from this now!

I sure hope that you're over that little bad few months you had as I do appreciate your effort on the thread.

I got it from Darth which reminds me, thank you Darth for the slipcover. It's also a Canadian exclusive.

I got mine off "da Bay" and the SLIPCOVER is nice (reminds me of Ninja Assassin) movie is OK. It is low-budget Tarrantino/Rodriguez/Zack Snyder/Frank Miller work but a worthy afternoon waster.

what I want to know is where he got the pix
