Most probably, you can get away with it. I don't believe you will hurt anything. The worst that can happen to you is to blow another fuse.

Hi guys, I'm a real noob to this forum and audio components in general and was hoping this thread could really benefit me. I've got a Panasonic Home Theater system from a few years back that I now have hooked up to my computer through a simple headphone jack. I use the system for music and I love the 2 6" subs that are in the systems sub system, but I want something stronger.

I'm looking at an Acoustic Audio Sub that I'm interested in and am hoping you guys could help me out a little.

That's the sub I'm looking at. I was just wondering, does anyone have this sub? How hard does it "kick"? I know this is a really vague question and don't want to get bashed for it but I need a strong teeth rattling sub and wanted to know if this sub does the job. My friend has this sub:

And after listening to it shake his entire house I wanted to know how the one I'm looking at (Acoustic Audio) Compares to his. (Klipsch). The Acoustic Audio sub you are looking at was originally sold by The Deep Discount for $150 plus free shipping (see post #1). It is a pretty good sub for the price. Initially, most people who bought AA subs were totally satisfied with them. Unfortunately, the last batch of AA subs had bad amplifiers. The situation must have gotten so bad that The Deep Discount decided to get out of the subwoofer martket.

The seller on Ebay claims he has only opened the box and never used it and is asking for $145 plus $40 for shipping. Even if the subwoofer is in perfect condition, you are not going to receive any warranties in case the sub has problems in the future. My recommendation is not to buy it.

If you are looking for a budget subwoofer, check Parts Express or Amazon.

I never had any problems with mine and it was a good sub, but I decided to sell mine off Craigslist and got a measly $90 for it. I took a loss, but its ok. I figure that others on here that did get screwed by this company, no reason to support it. I hope whom ever got mine is happy. I never got a call back so I think the buyer is considered happy

I have the same sub you had,not sure if i'd want to sell mine that cheap,it still works pretty good.I guess i'll just keep it,even if i get a new sub.

That low... Mine was one of the early HDSUB12's (the good ones). When I it for the eD upgrade I got $250 for it. I tested it out with a few movies in front of the buyer and he was really happy with what he was getting.

yeah i ordered an hd-12 sub in january from the DD. i noticed within the first week that the amp was junk. i finally got around to calling the DD last week and to my surprise they said they would send me a new amp, (the one for there 15 inch hd sub, 1000 watts peak). all i had to do was pay shipping, the amp was free!!! i got the new amp and all i have to say is wow, this sub in proper working order is amazing. it hit the lows pretty well, and at moderate to loud volumes it does not distort. for about 200$ i have nothing bad to say about it except that the origional amp was a piece of junk.

HD-SUBs are offically back! I have just put up the Black and Maple models and will be adding the Cherry tomorrow. RW and PSW subs will be posted early next week. It took us so long to get these back in due to the increased number of problems customers were having. We decided to make them in an entirely different factory and let me tell you we couldn't have made a better decision. These subs are super solid! I tested out all 3 models and have them cranked all the way and my subwoofer level on my receiver to the max and got no distortion whatsoever! They literally shook the building. The finishes look alot better also. I hope everyone enjoys! I will be checking the forum as much as I can for feedback on our new HD-SUB models.

So I guess still no shipping to Canada? I just hope people aren't totally turned off with the entire AA problems they had in the past and won't give these another try.

Mine worked great the whole time I had it and I think its still pounding in someone elses house... I sold it for a dual set of eD's. But I really find shitty that I had to go through a friend in the US to get one into Canada. You dudes should rethink that NO CANADA option because you mist out on a lot of sales wit hthe last run. No thanks, the best thing I did was sell my AA HD12 and just replaced it with a dynamo700. Either way, just like at AV123, you burned a lot of customers that had amp issues and didn't do anything about it. The service from what I read was pretty bad.
