Guess im hanging out with the wife this weekend unless I get into some VOG action. My marks are nearly capped, weekly done, nightfall done. Only thing I was loggin in for were those damn queen shards along with the daily

But we didn't adequately communicate the potential random outcomes of decryption. Players see what looks like the familiar metaphor of item identification, while the Cryptarch thinks he's opening a grab bag of loot. Rage sharding of blues ensues. Expect to see changes to address this soon.

Today the Auto Rifle is too effective at long range, even beating Scout and Pulse Rifles in some circumstances. Expect stability and/or damage adjustments to the Auto Rifle to address this in the weeks ahead.

Bailey is just not human though. Time zones are a big challenge for most folks but not Bailey!!

Tbh, i'm not happy about Auto Rifles being further nerfed. They're NOT more effective at range. The damage falls off a cliff at most distances. Short to medium range is what they reach adequately atm.

You definitely don't have to get the killing blow. It's a proximity issue just like Snake mentioned. If everyone had to make the killing shot to complete the bounty, then it would take everyone FOREVER to complete. Just make sure you're not very far away from the spider tank when he's about to die.

The farming cave is not the biggest issue, I'm fine with it. But wow, no more ascendant shards from dismantling legendary gear from the Queen's Wrath?? that is very disappointing.

I agree with most people's comments, I'm "meh" on the farming - but the Queen's Legendary dismantling...sheesh, that one's a killer. Ascendant shards are hard enough to come by as it is, and this was a relatively quick way to acquire them. Not like the Level 24 missions were cake walks anyway.

I don't like that at all.

I have not done the dismantling of the queen's items so that doesnt bother me but I think it was totally unnessary to "fix" the farming. Items do not drop very often during strikes or anything else you do.That led to people farming the cave The only reason I have my legendaries is from farming the cave and the only reason my Cryptroll is level 13 is from farming.So if they are going to "fix" the farming methods in this game they need to fix how loot drops, engrams id, matchmaking for heroric weekly raids, cryptroll should be leveled as one on all characters shouldn't have to level him all over again on each individual character its totally pointless.

I am running into this right now. My Wizard is a level 13 and the Cryptroll is a level 1 even though on my Hunter he is a level 12.

I always thought the Engrams were pretty clear. They list the potential options and show a purple could be a blue.

I think the real issue is that the percentages seem to drastically change between green and blue/purple and the change is shocking.

When you're seeing green consistently become green with a small chance of blue - it's a bit of a shock to suddenly have 3 out of 4 blue become greens. Its like a double drop penalty - first you need the lucky purple drop, then a second lucky purple decrypt.

Personally I think it could be solved easily enough if you got something else with an under-decrypt or if it gave more rep. Currently decrpyting a purple as a purple is a better item and better rep. A better solution would be for a green to give highest rep or several materials (like spinmetal), a blue to give ok rep or a little less materials, and then a purple or exotic would just give the item and some rep.

Grab bag is ok, but feeling like you've wasted your time isn't.

On the rifle, I know several people who swear by doing aimed headshots with a rifle in pvp because of how effective it is. That should be the realm of Hand Cannons and Scout Rifles in my opinion.

Well the missions are pretty easy if you use the right burn. I did the shrine of Oryx and 3 Steel Oracle missiles into the boss dropped him quick due to void burn. It was harder to get to him than to beat him.

Seems like shards are the main way Bungie is keeping the grind going and 6 a day for 2 weeks broke that for those in the know. The grind in general is pretty sucky when you ignore how much fun shooting things is and just look at it clinically.

I'm torn on this. Considering that you can pass items through the vault, secondaries have two big advantages: 1) they can take hand me downs - meaning that they less impacted by bad Craptarch draws because they really don't need those items and 2) once your main maxes out the Craptarch and you're using end game gear you can pass all those blue and purple engrams to your secondaries and you're going to have lvl 5 guys decrpyting purples.

Right now it is definitely more of a slog for those burning the candle at 2 or 3 ends, but as time goes on, my guess is that getting the Craptarch leveled up on secondaries is going to be come much easier.
